It was cold and raining, his cloak was soaked. His clothing was made of the finest silk and had been trashed within minutes after his escape. He couldn't marry, not even to save his people, he didn't want to be forced to marry such a monster.

'No one would be proud to be married to a man such as Lotor, he looks like an absolute grape.' Lance thought as he ran through the trees. Twisted limbs of the oaks reached for him in a startling manner.

His destination should be up ahead. The magician which he had seen at the castle whom has given Lotor a reading as well as gifts for the couple that were to be married.

Lance had to find him, he had no other choice.

Later that day

"Sir, the magician has arrived." A servant spoke while slipping out of the room. Her heels clicking on the marble floors and silencing as she got further away.

"You've scheduled a magician?How...nice." Disgusting-he was disgusted to be in his presence. No gifts or gems could win him over, not even a silly magician. Lance was appalled by Lotor.

He always wore a smirk which wasn't very flattering-Lance interpreted it as a scowl. Silks draped over his figure and were held in place by selves embedded with crystals.

Galran royalty were well known for their wealth as were the Alteans. Lance favoured the colour blue and was famous for his liking of sapphires, thus making the gem a symbol of royalty in Altea. His cape hung off his shoulders and draped onto the floor and flowed elegantly whenever he moved. Golden jewelry was placed on his limbs and neck, each piece included either diamonds or sapphires. The crown which was perched upon his head of brown hair was the most valuable of all, glittering under any source of light. Lance loved jewelry but absolutely hated the engagement ring he was given.

"Yes of course. Shall we go see?" He stood up from the table at which they sat and held out his hand for Lance to take. Everytime they came in contact Lance cringed but he did this to stop the war, he wanted to save his people.

The two walked down the hallway to the dining room where the magician was getting set up. They entered the room to see a man who's identity was protected by a silk scarf and hat; it was strange because most peasants couldn't afford such attire.

They took a seat as well as some other members of the palace.

The magician removed the silk and hat in a respectful manner. Thick dark hair fell to his shoulders and his deep purple eyes shifted around the room. He was pale, very pale and had attractive features.

"Greetings, my name is Keith Kogane and I am a magician of Galran decent. I greatly appreciate your interest in my work, thank you for inviting me Prince Lotor." The magician known as Keith had pulled out a deck of cards, and began shuffling them. "Who would like the first reading?"

Lance was confused as to what he was speaking of, he thought magicians only did magic tricks. But it was revealed that he was shuffling tarot cards, each one decorated differently with paint.

"I would." Lotor volunteered and Lance wasn't surprised, he was full of himself. Keith nodded and proceeded to deal out the cards into three piles. One of the piles were selected and then dealt out in an oval. When finished he paused and let his hand hover above the down facing cards, his violet eyes shut and his hand lingered over the cards. Three were selected and lied out infront of Lotor.
