Zed was so worried about his grade in science after that incident that he didnt even knew he had chewed half of his pencil . " Now who would answer me my this question , Which of the continent is called the dark continent ?" Said Miss jessie the social studies teacher. Normally on these situations everybody act like they don't exist but not in zed's case . He raised his hand , the teacher nodded and zed answered " Africa " . "Good ! Zed . Can you tell me why ? " . " Miss because of their way of living which is kind of backward , not modern " . " You're right " said the teacher . Few more questions were asked and everytime zed answered , michael and dragon made teasing sounds although zed can't hear them properly but he was pretty sure they was saying something like ' Brainiac Tom ' . It was 10:30 am when bell rang for break .
Zed thought for a moment that if he dare went to the cafeteria they will treat him badly so he decided to dump the idea of having lunch from there . He took out a packet of chips from his bag and started to munch them down his dried throat . Miss Sarah ( maths teacher ) came in class and found zed alone in the classroom . " Zed ? is it you ? " . Zed nodded . " well Zed i have checked your math test that i took the other day and you have topped in the class . You got 46 out of 50 . " Clapped Miss sarah . " Thanks teacher . " zed said nervously . Miss sarah continued to look at him smiling widely . It was an awkward silence then Miss sarah asked him something that could change his luck in Cassmilton High . " Are you interested in Student coucil ? " . " What ? " Miss sarah nodded . " No , im not sorry miss " .Zed went home with heavy heart thinking its been two weeks since he came to this school and yet he had not succeeded in making friends and thought he would try his luck tomorrow for sure .
Now zed was worried sick to find his mom drunk and the whole house in a mess when he had reached home from school . " Mom what happend ? " zed asked . " I lost everything zed , everything " ?. " Why what happend ? What do you mean ? " . " Today the landlord came and asked to pay 10,000 Dollars and if we didn't pay he'll kick us out , Oh my god what are we going to do ? " " its okay mom relax we'll think of something " . " Zed cant you see i lost everything my job money house everything " . " Mom you still have me " zed said emotionaly . Mrs kenneth came close and hugged Zed , tears rolling down the cheeks of mrs kenneth and zed .
There! zed hugged and thought it will be easy for him to find a job but will he succeed .
