This chapter is long as well. Hope y'all enjoy!
Charlie walked past the pet shop she brought Bobby to and she was missing Bobby already. Wait, what am I wearing to this dinner party? Charlie thought. She remembered her mother gave her money to go shopping. She texted her mother asking what kind of dinner party this was going to be. Her mother told her it will be a ‘fun casual dinner party.’ She walked into a few boutiques hoping to find something cute and casual. She walked into one that had walls of bags, one full of tacky clothing, and then one that had everything elegantly casual. It was perfect. She stepped inside and saw a cream colored dress with a thin string bow around the waist. She searched the rack for her size and went straight to a dressing room. She changed into the dressed and looked at herself in the mirror. She decided it would be nice to wear with a pair of tan ankle boots. She put the dress over her forearm, still looking through the little shop. A matching watch and some cream leather bracelets caught her eye. She picked those up as well and purchased them at the front counter. She walked out of the little boutique feeling better that she was going to look nice, and see Bobby. How was this only her second day in London and she has already kissed a guy, pushed him away, then found little lost Bobby, found his owner that turned out to be Tom Hiddleston, and now she was going to Tom Hiddleston’s dinner party? She frowned at the thought of pushing Ryan away, but smiled to herself thinking about Tom and Bobby. Maybe she should apologize to Ryan, she thought. Maybe she would make it up to him tonight, at the party. She clutched her bag and walked back to the pet store she brought Bobby to. She walked inside and walked the isles. She found the most adorable matching shirts for owners and their dog. She found a shirt for Bobby and found one in her size. It was a t-shirt that said ‘London Baby!’ from that friends episode where Joey had yelled ‘London Baby!’ more than once. She giggled. “Can I help you, Charlie?” She froze when the voice behind her said her name. She turned around to see Luke, smiling.
“Um, no I’m alright. Thank you though, Luke.” She put back the shirts and followed Luke back to the checkout counter. “Actually, where are your dog treats?” She asked with a smile. She followed him like a little duckling to the isle of treats.
“Hear you are.” He winked. These British men are oh so charming, she thought. She nodded to thank him and he walked back behind the counter, but kept his eyes on Charlie. She looked and the large selection of treats and noticed a little bone shaped treat that would fit Bobby’s little puppy mouth. She took one of those to the checkout counter where Luke was waiting. She placed the treat and money on the counter and slid it over to Luke. “Is that all?” Charlie thought for a moment, and decided it wouldn’t hurt to ask for his number. “Charlie?”
She hummed. “Sorry, yes that’s all.” She never asked his number due to the fact his smirk caught Charlie’s attention. Luke gave Charlie her change and receipt with the treat in a little baggie tied with a bow. She saw red writing on the receipt and saw a phone number, she smirked and gave Luke a wink before leaving the shop. She walked home and went straight to her room to text her friends. ‘I met Tom freaking Hiddleston!’ She smiled as she hit send. ‘What?!’ Caleb responded first. ‘No freaking way!’ Nicole sent shortly after. She sent a picture of Bobby. ‘Hon, that’s not Tom Hiddleston,’ Nicole had said. ‘Puppy!’ Caleb sent with a few heart eye emojis. ‘No, guys. That is Bobby. Tom Hiddleston’s dog. He got lost and I put out posters and Tom called to meet him for lunch with Bobby.’ Nicole facetimed her, and then added Caleb.
“You have Tom Hiddleston’s number?!” Nicole practically screamed. Nicole obviously just got out of bed, since her brown hair was a little messy. One hand was holding a toothbrush and the other toothpaste. Charlie thought for a moment, about Nicole’s question.
“Well I guess, technically I do.” She never actually realized until now. Caleb was still in bed. His light brown hair fluffed up and the lights out. “Caleb your hair is a mess.” Charlie and Nicole burst out laughing at his bedhead.
