Annie's POV
It was just a word that solved all the puzzle; and he still couldn't mantle it.
I looked up at him and this made me sadder. His light blue eyes seemed to be darker now and it was the first time for me to see this. Niall was lost in my eyes since I spoke and I was afraid of him drowning in his thoughts; just like I've been drowning in mine the past few days.
His lips were dry and parted. His eyes from that dark blue colour turned to a light red. He was standing still until he blinked and became conscious again. He looked at the floor, when I was silently sobbing.
It felt like I just did a crime. I stole his laugh, I stole his smile and I'm about to get in the train and leave for ever.
"Marry me." he wishpers.
What?
"Marry me." he repeats, looking up at me. It was like he heard my subconscious...
But he didn't get it.
"I'm gonna die." I hiss and sweep the tears away from my cheeks.
"You're gonna marry me." he pushes, stuck on that.
"I'm gonna die." I say once more, never losing my eye-contact with him.
"Just stop doing this." his voice breaks midsence.
This is what I did. I ruined him.
I can't look at him any longer, it's much more painful than what I can take. My baby...
"I'm sorry." I manage to say and open the door, stepping outside.
"Annie," I hear his voice and hesitate to turn back and face him.
Suddenly, I feel his hands wrap around my waist slowly, hugging me tight. Tight enough to feel the pulse of his wrists.
Then, his cheek lies on my shoulder and I'm stuck with his body. I don't make a move, I can't. I'm just trying to stop myself from shaking and getting a complete, emotional wreck.
I hate being so sensitive .
"It's okay, babe. Hey, it's okay." he softly comforts me, wishpering.
I know it's not and he knows that, too. We just hallucinate ourselves as much as possible, not willing to accept the reality. I know it's wrong and he knows that as well.
Niall lets go of me and I decide to turn to his side.
