Father's Garden

Buzzing bees are no longer there
Lilacs no longer smell nice and sweet
The blossom trees are all empty and bare
Birds no longer sing and tweet

Roses are no longer romantic
With thorns left prickly
It looks rather tragic
Dying away ever so quickly

The fountain stops spraying its water
Because you were selfish enough
To leave your daughter
The past seven years have been so rough

It’s been like this for so long
Ever since you've been gone
