Autumn eyes shot open once the parachutes deployed and shook the dropship rapidly.

She groaned at the pounding headache she was receiving from the side effects of the drug.

After regaining her vision, she looked around confused, but not for long as her memories caught up with her.

Her breathing quickened, feeling as if not enough oxygen was entering her lungs, soon she started hyperventilating.

As the dropship shook and rumbled, more of the hundred shouted and yelled.

Everyone frightened of dying on the dropship.

The dropship crashed into the hard Earth's surface, sliding through the mud abruptly coming to a stop.

Everyone on the dropship fell silent and not a noise was heard on the dropship.

"Listen, no machine hum. " Autumn heard faintly, her head feeling as if someone was slamming her head against a wall repeatedly.

"That's a first," Someone else said amazed.

A clicking noise rang throughout the ship multiple times in different areas of the ship, alerting everyone that they can proceed to leave the dropship.

Autumn stood up shakily, trying to regain her balance, also trying to remember everything that happened prior to her getting on the ship itself.

Memories of Nygel and Commander Shumway at flooded her mindset, everything thing they did, everything they said.

Autumn leaned back on a wall and held her head, shutting her eyes tightly trying to calm her headache until one realization stuck to her, sucking all of the oxygen out of her lungs, causing a pain in her chest like her heart was being tied in a knot, draining all the color from Autumn's face.

She remembers why she was sent to the ground, the mission Shumway gave her, how Nygel sold the girl lives to pay her debt she owed Shumway.

She remembers she had to keep an eye out for some boy, whose name she couldn't remember but she remembered what he looked like.

Then she remembered her location, "The Ground," Autumn mumbled under breath out loud, shakily.

"The exit is on the lower level, cmon!" Some boy shouted, which brought Autumn back to reality.

"Wait, we can't just open the door!" A girl yelled out loud, rushing down the ladder with the other delinquents to the lower level.

Autumn groaned and pushed herself off the wall and walked over the ladder, unknowingly walking past one of her childhood best friends.

She climbed down the ladder and pushed herself through the crowd that formed by the opening of the dropship.

When she was visual in front of the crowd she seen him. The boy who was talking to Shumway in that room, the boy she was bargained to secretly spy on, the man who stood upon her right now, and he definitely isn't a boy, he's a man, definitely older than anyone on this dropship plus Autumn herself, and that's saying something since there isn't much of an age difference between Autumn and the delinquents.
