Two Brains Over one Brawn

The forest was letting off a great amount of smoke. The pink dome of gas was engulfing many students. I began to feel bad because I could be useful in so many areas of this camp but I've decided to defend Midoriya. Even though I didn't regret my choice, I still couldn't help but feel bad and responsible for everything that was happening.

As my fist connected with the villain's chin, I grunted in pain. My arm wasn't strong enough for the force I put behind it. Even though I hurt my arm, it looked like Muscular was hurt a lot more than I was. He withstood the punch but his feet skidded across the rock and he slid into the wall, blasting debris everywhere. I landed on the ground and Midoriya jumped over to me holding his arm. He looked down at the hole in my arm and gasped.

{Midoriya} - Woah what happened to you?

{Y/N} - Don't worry about it I'll be fine. Let's focus on him.

{Muscular} - Wow. That cheap shot hurt a little. Nice hook kid, it's only fair I return the favor now.

He pried himself from the rubble and began to stretch his arms. Midoriya and I jumped back and prepared ourselves for the upcoming fight. He began to use his quirk on his arms and legs and immediately dashed towards us. Me and Midoriya leaped in opposite directions to confuse him but he seemed set on me. Once he turned to me I used my quirk to fly upwards. He stopped and looked up at me and his thighs became bigger.

{Y/N} - Oh no.

He bent his knees and within the blink of an eye he was above me. Before I could react, he placed his hands together and axehandled me into the rocks below. As my back hit the ground the air was forced out of me, preventing me from screaming from the overwhelming pain. He then came crashing down, aiming for my stomach. I tried my best to move but my body, nor my quirk, was responding. Before he could stomp me in half, Midoriya hopped over me, scooped me up, and pulled me away. The towering mass of muscle smashed into the ground, causing the stone where I was laying to cave in. That would've definitely killed me. Midoriya layed me against the wall and I finally was able to breathe again. Gasping and coughing for air, Midoriya talked to me.

{Midoriya} - This will be rough.

{Y/N} - Get... out of here. Let him deal with me. I don't want both of us to die.

{Midoriya} - I thought you were my friend.

Muscular then looked at us and tried to approach us but there was stone up to his knees, trapping him where he stood.

{Y/N} - W-What do you mean?

{Midoriya} - If you were my friend, you would know that I can't do that. You'd know that I would find a way for both of us to survive.

I sat there and looked at the bullet wound in my arm as a warm, think liquid rolled down my neck.

{Y/N} - You're right, we'll figure something out.

{Muscular} - C'mon guys, if you tell me where Bakugo is, I promise I'll kill you quickly.

Muscular yanked his legs out of the ground, one by one, and then began to storm towards Midoriya. Before he could hit him, Midoriya hopped back and landed against the wall above me. With a very powerful jump, he leaped towards the villain and prepared a counterattack.

{Midoriya} - 5%... Detroit... Smash!

{Y/N} - Bakugo?

Muscular extended both of his arms in front of him as several large muscles appeared, cushioning Midoriya's punch. Within seconds, he pushed my classmate away and sent him flying into the wall beside me. I stood up and Midoriya stumbled up as well. I then began to mumble to him a plan.
