She rushed to the toilet and made sure to lock the door, pulled the lids open and puked her guts out to the bowl. When she was done, she flushed, watching as the floating red petals spiralled down the drain. She kept an unblinking eye on the bowl, until there was none of the red left, and new crystalline water replaced it.
She sat back on the cold floor and sighed. Two months. It had been two months since her first occurrence.
She was scared shitless when it happened, she was literally sobbing when she drove to the hospital, going straight to the emergency.
She knew she was being dramatic, but it was not usual to hear someone vomiting out flowers, petals to be exact.
She filled in some forms and waited for her name to be called, tears still pouring like waterfall as she tried to get hold of her husband. But to no avail, like the ten attempts before, it went straight to the voicemail.
She cried harder. Her trembling hands were about to attack his number again when she heard her name.
"Miss Kim?"
"It's Mrs. Mrs Kim." She corrected, trying to subdue her hiccup. Her body shook in response. "I'm married."
It was true, she really liked the fact that she was married to her love, and she was not afraid to let people know. She wanted to let everyone know that she was married to the man she loved so much, and that she was lucky.
"Mrs Kim..." The doctor trailed off, tapping on his paper. Kim Seokjin, Eunji read the name written on his tag. They sounded like siblings. "Can I just call you Eunji?"
He probably just feel weird since our surname is the same, she thought. Well it was not hers to begin with, but since she was married to Junmyeon, she had to take his surname, so technically now it was hers.
"S-sure." She stuttered the word, feeling the nausea crawling up. Panic started in her, there was no way she was going to go through that horrible situation, ever again.
"You're too young to be married." The doctor commented and she frowned. She have heard that before but she did not care. She was happy with Junmyeon, her husband. Why would she let anyone else tell her otherwise?
"But let's make this fair and quick," he said and Eunji fought the urge to roll her eyes. Finally you're starting. "You said something about vomiting?"
She nodded her head quickly, as she felt the blood drain from her face. She looked around frantically and saw a sink at the end of the room. She wasted no time in running for it, her body hunched forward as she vomited, small red petals fluttered into the sink, coated with fluids from her stomach and she felt sick by just looking at it.
She felt a hand on her back and she started to wash the petals away, feeling ashamed. Gosh, the doctor must think that i am such a freak who got a food poisoning, by eating flowers.
When she rinsed it away, she felt the absence of his hand from her back, but she knew he was still there. So when she looked back, she fixed her eyes to anywhere but him.
"Yes, I'm vomiting and I don't know what's wrong because it's weird like you saw..." She said, keeping her head down in embarrassment.
"It is not weird," He said and she snapped at him in confusion, "Why don't we sit down and talk? It is going to be a long diagnosis." He said and he guided her back to the table.
He started to pull out new papers and wrote something on it quickly. "When did first this happen?"
"Today. I was munching on my sour gummy when i felt sick. I ran to the bathroom and vomited, it was the same thing you've seen just now. Petals."
