"Right, Rose Tyler, you tell me, where do you wanna go? Backwards or forwards in time? It's your choice. What's it gonna be?" The Doctor asked as he fiddled with a ball.
"Forwards." She said. The alien flipped a couple switches and pressed some buttons.
"How far?" He asked.
"100 years."
This time the Doctor spun a will and twisted a knob and they waited for a thud. "There you go! Step outside hose doors, it's the 22nd century." He said pointing at the doors.
"You're kidding." The blonde said.
"That's a bit boring, though. Do you wanna go further?" He asked. "Fine by me." She smiles.
The Doctor repeated his action occasionally hitting more buttons. "Ten thousand years in the future. Step outside, it's the year 12005. The new Roman Empire."
"You think you're so impressive." Rose chuckles.
"Oh, he does." Elizabeth called from her seat. The Irish woman was sitting there letting her feet dangle. In her hands was book she borrowed from the library that was in the TARDIS. In her mouth was a piece of licorice.
"Oi! I am so impressive!" The Doctor yelled at her. "You wish." Elizabeth mumbled. "Right, then. You've asked for it Elizabeth. I know exactly where to go." He said.
Elizabeth places her book in her bag and felt something cold on her fingertips. She opened her bag wider and she scavenged for the cold object. When she felt her hand hit again she pulled it out of the bag. It was a watch.
"Elizabeth?"
Elizabeth jumps and snaps her head to the voice, it was the Doctor. "What? Did we crash?" She asked. The Doctor's eyes spotted the watch and he gasped. "What's that?" He asked gesturing to the pocket watch.
"Nothing!" The girl exclaims and shoves in her bag. "You sure?" The Doctor asked. She nods and looks around for Rose. "Where's Rose?"
"She's outside. We've landed." The Doctor said. "Oh. What are we waiting for then. Let's go." She said pulling him outside.
"Whoa." She gasped as she hops down the steps next to Rose. The Doctor walked behind them to a control panel and buzzed it with his sonic screwdriver.
The metal barrier that covered the window went down and it revealed the Earth.
"You lot... You spend all your time thinking about dying. How you're gonna get killed by eggs or beef or global warming or asteroids. But you never take time to imagine the impossible.That maybe you survived." The Doctor said.
