"OH MY GOD......I ALMOST DIED.", I thought to myself. I looked behind me to see who it was. Christopher McBride was standing behind me. He is the one who saved me. I just ran all the way home without telling him thank you.

I ran straight home. "Sweetie what's wrong?", my dad asked looking worried. I told him it was nothing and went straight to my room. For the rest of the day I literally sat in my room and did nothing. The only time I went out was to use the bathroom and to eat.

My parents were really starting to worry when dinner came around and i still haven't said anything. "Amy. We are having an intervention.", my mom said as I sat down at the table. "Why? Is it because I haven't been talking all day?", I asked her. She nodded her head. I told her the story about the car and left out the part where Christopher saved me.

"Oh thank god your ok!", she said as I started to talk and share funny stories about my day at school. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK! We heard somebody knocking on the door. " I got it.", I said as I got up to see who it was.  I tried to turn on the porch light, but it was burned out.

"Mom the porch light is burned out.", I said as I opened the door. A look of shock had forced itself upon my face as I saw who was standing there. I'm sure you can guess who it was. That's right, Christopher McBride was standing on my porch. I held up a finger and whispered as I walked back into the kitchen to excuse myself.

After I was excused I ran out to the porch and shout whispered, "What are you doing here?! How do you know where I live?! Why are you here at night?!" He just looked at me and told me, "I'm here for earlier. I wasn't far behind you when you went home remember? I was busy finishing my homework." He answered my questions quickly.

"Amy are you ok? From earlier today. I was worried because you ran home after I sav-helped you.", he said as I glanced back at the house to make sure my parents weren't watching. "Christopher. I'm fine. Thank you for earlier, but you have to go before my parents see you.", I said as I slowly walked back towards the porch.

"Wait! Amy do you want to go out sometime? Call me Chris.", he said so suddenly that I stopped in right in front of my door. I nodded my head and said I'll meet him after school tomorrow. After that he left and I went back inside and finished my dinner.

When dinner was over I just laid in my bed and stared at the ceiling going over Chris and my conversation in my head. "I CAN'T BELIEVE I SAID YES TO CHRIS!", I said in my head. As I continued to think about it I finally came a conclusion that maybe it wouldn't be so bad. I'll give him a shot.
