The next few days I avoided Chris at school like he asked. I never thought I'd see the day when I would do what a guy told me to do. Hannah, Elana and Alaska (Came back last night) apparently thought so too.
"Why are you doing what Chris tells you to do?", Elana asked me as I was walking the long way to get to my last period. "Yeah. You NEVER do what guys tell you to do. Except you know, you listen to your dad.", Hannah agreed. I just shrugged my shoulders and replied, "I honestly don't know. He just has this....vibe that I'm interested to find out more about it."
The look of shock on their face is what confused me. I don't understand it they talk about guys like that all the time, yet when I talk about a guy it's like the world ended. "What? Can I not talk about a guy? We're going to have to finish this conversation later bye.", I said while heading into my last period.
"Now you and a partner have to make a poster of things you have learned in health class so far...", the teacher was saying as my phone vibrated in my pocket. I knew I was going to get caught in class. knowing that I asked, "Can I go to the bathroom?" The teacher looked up and said, "Can you wait until the end of class?" I had a feeling the text was important so I shook my head. "I think you can wait.", the teacher said and sat back down.
"So you want me to pee blood on your floor? I don't think the janitor will be happy.", I told the teacher and the teacher quickly answered with, "NO! Just hurry back." I stood up and walked towards the door while the teacher was giving me the death glare. I stopped in front of the desk and told the teacher, "Thank you for letting go to the bathroom, but can you not glare at me next time? That would be much appreciated."
I then took my leave with the rest of the class laughing like crazy. When I entered the bathroom I took out my phone and went to my text messages. The text was from Hannah, "Why do you keep doing what Chris tells you to do? Tell me the truth this time." I rolled my eyes and texted back, " I already told you he just has this vibe. I'm going to find out what that vibe is. Gotta get back to class text you later." Then I left the bathroom.
As I exited the bathroom I ran into Chris, literally. I looked up and smiled the first real smile all day. "We still meeting after school?", he asked as he hugged me. I nodded and then told him I had to get back to class. He pouted and then hugged me more fiercely. That was the best hug I ever had. I didn't want it to end, but I had to get to class. I broke off our hug and then headed towards class.
After school I stood and waited outside for my favorite trio when I felt somebody's presence behind me. I turned around and my favorite person (Chris) was standing behind me. "You ready to go?", he asked me. I nodded eagerly completely forgetting about my trio. Off in the distance I thought I heard somebody yell at me, "WHAT HAPPENED TO WAITING FOR US?"
