we were a little bit drunk and probably laughing about everything. we were just two broken kids trying to pick up their pieces.
oh sweet despair feel you devour me.
silently won't you carry me home?
the music was floading our ears and we were singing at the top of our lungs. i had to get as much as I could from her.
"i'm leaving next week, you know that right?" she told me, smiling sadly, like she hadn't told me eighty times before.
"i'm gonna miss you, rose."
"awwhh you're so sweet. i thought you men had to behave as if your heart was made of ice." she joked, there were crinkles at the sides of her eyes. she wasn't faking it, she was having a good time. "i'm gonna miss you too."
i stared at her. she was beautiful, she was gorgeous, she was adorable, she was... perfect. maybe i could sing her those songs. she held my stare.
"will you come back to this town someday?" i asked. i was still hoping she would change her mind and stay.
"i don't think so..." she mumbled. "oh please change this song, it's bringing me down!"
she stood up to pick her ipod. we were sitting on some pillows on the floor, still drinking wine. i watched her walk away. i just couldn't stop.
"come dance with me. i found this slow song that i really love." she said, taking my hand and pulling me to were she was.
"what's the song?"
"you, by the pretty reckless." she took both of my hands and placed them in her waist. her arms were around my neck and in that moment, i swear i felt complete. was there any other hidden reason behind it? i wasn't sure.
you don't want me no
we moved quietly, following the music.
you don't need me no
we were alone in this whole planet.
like i want you, no
she looked at my eyes.
like i need you, no
i looked her in the eyes.
and i want you in my life
i couldn't resist the urge to get closer.
and i need you in my life
i had to kiss her.
...
and so i did.
