***third POV***

"What do you mean he took her!" Ember roared getting up from her seat pure anger swirling in her brown orbs. She took calculated steps towards Mason, daring him to repeat himself.

Mason rubbed his head and sighed. "I said Zander took her away"

"How could you do this?!" She threw her hands about, trying very hard not to hit him.

"It wasn't my fault okay!"

"You couldn't even fight him you're such a coward!"

Mason chuckled dryly. "Really? If Blackwood stood in front of  you, I promise you'll be the one running away"

She couldn't deny what he said. It's true he was the main reason why they had escaped and he hasn't even given up, she should have killed him long ago. She frowned. Her eyes drop to the ground, her eyes catching a yellow folder on the chair where Mason sat. She raised her finger pointing at it. She raised an eyebrow questioningly. "What's that?"

"That, is a folder" he stated plainly smirking at her.

"What is in it?" She nodded her head towards expectantly.

Mason moved closer and whispered, "The whole truth about you"

Ember's eyes widened in shock as she looked at the folder in Mason's hand. She stared at it with disgust one thought running in her head. "Where did you get it from?" She asked.

"Your daughters room" he said with no emotion. He laughed. "Looks like that girl knows everything about you" he chuckled.

"Impossible" she muttered, her hatred for the Blackwoods increasing. He had the guts to tell Emma everything?! Now how will she get her to be on her side!...no...her daughter was a soft mess and she still is, whatever happens she'll defend her mother.

"Although I can't trust that they'll get another one" Mason sighed. As long as that old man was alive, they'll always get information.

Ember laughed. "That's if he's still alive"

Mason looked at her in shock. "Don't tell me that you've killed that old man!"

Ember smirked affirming to Mason's guess. "He was starting to get on my nerves, so I sent some men to  finish him off. The old man was weak he was going to die anyway" she shrugged.

"Are you kidding me?!" Mason yelled in shock. "You're already charged for murder and you just had to add one more to your list?!"

"Look, I did it for our safety okay!" She yelled back clearly frustrated.

"When Blackwood finds out, you're dead!"

"Do you want your family out of jail or not?!" She asked.

Mason sighed. "Yes, I want them out"

"Then you must do exactly what I say"

***Emma***

"Austin stop!" I whine running around the living room with Austin behind me. I hear him laugh.

"Hey! Not until you admit it!" He jokes stretching his hands to grab the hem of my shirt. I pause and he runs into my back falling back as he does so. I burst out laughing when I see him on the ground. He playfully scowls at me.

"Haha, very funny, Emma" he says dryly and gets off his feet. I playfully swat his arm still laughing.

"Well, next time you don't just go around assuming things" I say sitting down on the couch.

He smirks and joins me. "I saw you Emma. It's quite obvious you Carr about him" he laughs.

Well, it's true that I care about Zander buy that doesn't mean  it will lead to anything else...right? "You're crazy" I tell him and he laughs relaxing on the chair stretching his feet.

"You two seem to be having a good time" aunt Clara says coming out of the kitchen. I smile at her.

Austin snickers. "Just getting her to admit that she likes my brother" he winks at me and I gasp.

"Austin!"

Aunt Clara sits on the couch opposite us and laughs. "How coincidental, I thought the same. "

I glare at her as the memory of our previous conversation flashes in my mind. She just had to bring it up?!
"I don't understand how you manage to pair the both of us when you know the douchebag that your brother is!" I say rubbing the sides of my head.

"Who's the douchebag?" A voice asks behind me and I freeze. He has a habit of walking in on a conversation at the wrong time. I sigh and turn to face him. Right next to him stood his grandfather Hunter, he  smiled and walked past him to the stairs. Zander raised an eyebrow expecting an answer from me.

Austin stood and skipped to his side earning a  disturbed groan from him, Austin pouted. "Oh come on Zander it's been a while since I disturbed you " he snickers. Zander frowns and walks away leaving Austin shocked. I laugh.

"See, he's a douchebag." I repeat still laughing. Austin rolls his eyes and moves back to his seat.

"Don't mind that lion of a man. He can be quite rude sometimes" Aunt Clara butts in.  Austin laughs.

"I'm used to it"

My mind moves back to the moments when Joan used to behave like that towards me. Then it hits me....how could I even forget?! I remember Zander telling me  that she was missing... I never got to no more since then. I get up and walk up the stairs. I need to ask him if he's found her yet.
