My Silly Mistake

Part Twenty-Nine

Emma

"Joan!. I need your help here!" I call out from the kitchen while busily chopping some carrots. That lazy girl wants me to do all the cooking by myself.

"Coming" she responds lazily. I sigh and relax for a bit, screaming when a hand snakes around my waist. I turn and glare at whoever it is, my glare wiping off and replaced with a smile when i see Zander.

"Hey" he pecks my cheek. I blush and look away, to continue my chopping. He laughs. "You didn't kiss me back" he pouts.

"Do you deserve one?"

He feigns hurt and holds his chest. He spins me around and smashes his lips on mine. I drop the knife and pull him closer to deepen the kiss.

"You guys should get a room" Joan's voice says picking the knife and taking my place. I giggle and push Zander away.

"And you should smile more often" Zander teases her. Joan frowns.

"It's my face, not yours" she snaps. I don't know why they always fight when they see each other, it's fun watching them argue anyway. I chuckle.

"Yea, you're right" Zander rolls his eyes. "You'll start smiling soon, like in about a !minute" he winks at her.

She raises an eyebrow shooting him a disgusting look. "And what makes you say that?" He places her hands on her hips.

"You just wait" he challenges her taking some carrots and putting it in his mouth. He approaches me with carrot I'm his mouth trying to get  me to bite the end off. I shake my head but he traps me between him and the wall hitting my lips with the carrot. Joan scoffs,already irritated.

"I'm back!" A loud voice booms and Austin rounds the kitchen. Zander doesn't budge still rubbing his head on mine, I smile and pull the vegetable from his lips. He smirks.

"Who missed me?" Austin wiggles his eyebrows.

"Your grave" Joan snaps and I laugh.

Austin gasps. "This girl is so rude"

"Cause you deserve it" I tell him. He scowls and glares at me.

"Cause you're getting some, see what you're saying to me" he pouts.

"Go get your own girl" Joan snickers.

Austin smirks. "Oh I do, and that's you" he winks. I swear I caught Joan blushing but she quickly looks away. Austin bursts out laughing clutching his stomach.

"What did I tell you, Miss Gloomy?" Zander teases her pulling her cheek. She swats his hands away.

"Both of you are jerks!" She snaps and storms off.

"Oh baby...wait up" Austin runs after her shooting me a million dollar smile. I chuckle.

Zander moves to stand in front of me, lifting me up and placing me on the counter. He buries his face in the crook of my neck as I play with his dark locks. His fingers slowly trace my arm.

"Emma.." He lazily drawls.

"Hm"

"I want us to have four kids....all boys" I feel him smirk on my skin.

We aren't yet done with the preparations and he's already thinking of children. I blush, frowning instantly after processing his words.

"What do you mean only boys?" I lift his head up. His eyes are closed giving me a good view of his beautiful long lashes. He's so perfect.... Perfect for me. I smile.

He opens one eye, staring mockingly at me. "Kiss me" he demands.

"No" I refuse. "You haven't answered me"

He sighs and gets up. "Fine, then I will" before I can protest his lips are already lingering on mine.

Let's see if I'll open up for you....I say in my mind.

"Damn it!" He whisper-yells. "Let me in...please" he pleads with me.

I shake my head. His lips still linger on mine, his fingers trace my back fiddling with the hem of my shirt, I shiver when he slips his finger in moving slowly up my skin. A low moan escapes my lips and he quickly slides his tongue taking ownership of the kiss. He lifts me up wrapping my legs around his waist as he leads me upstairs.

My fingers thread through his hair not letting go off the kiss for a second. He drives me crazy and I'm happy for that.

Although the pain of my parents actions remain a perpetual scar in my heart, Zander seems to be its concealer. He always makes me feel special wiping away every tear from my eyes. I'm forever willing to give my all to him as much he's willing to do same. I love him, I love him so much and I'm glad I'll be spending the rest of my life with him.
