Chapter Thirteen: Sweatpants"Come on." Seth said, dragging Rea's hand and they walked through the forest, "We need to get there before it's too late."
"Too late for what?"
"You'll find out, well you will if you would hurry!"
"It's dark though," Rea teasingly argued, fully aware that Seth knew this too. "What if I trip, I will get Sam to kill you."
"Don't joke about that," Seth laughed, tugging on her hand again, causing Rea to quicken her pace to match Seth's. They were near a sprint at this point. "I am actually scared that he will kill me."
Just as Rea went to answer, Seth abruptly stopped running causing Rea to collide straight into his back. Muttering an apology, she dusted herself off and stood next to Seth, looking forwards into the clearing.
She knew this field; it was where she spent many summer days with Seth when she was little; before she moved away to Manchester; before she got kicked out of two homes; before she was a werewolf.
Small, twinkling lights line their old tree which she could have sworn she broken when she fell through a weak patch in the floor. A few battery operated candles rested on the glassless windows giving a fae like effect.
"You rebuilt it?" Rea gasped in shock, she never thought that she would ever see the tiny treehouse in its former glory again.
"Yeah. Embry and Quill helped a bit." He rambled on, nervous at Rea's reaction as her face showed no emotion.
"It's perfect."
Rea smiled softly, kissing Seth on the cheek before rushing off towards the tree beginning to climb up it, her imprint three paces behind her. Once she reached the inside she saw that it had been completely renovated.
The walls had a thin layer of white paint on it, making the minuscule room seem more open. Blankets and cushions lined the floor, creating a plush surface which was heavenly to sit upon and snuggle into. The hole in which Rea created in the floor had been successfully patched up, making the room whole again and in the corner sat a black duffel bag.
"There are some fresh clothes and pajamas in there, for the both of us, Leah packed it. And food, quite a bit actually." Seth said, answering Rea's unspoken question, "I was planning to stay the night here... with you. If you want to that is..."
"I would love nothing more." Rea smiled at Seth's thoughtfulness. This was a million times better than some generic dinner-than-a-mediocre-movie date. "I'll get changed now."
"Seth, you need to stop looking at me so I can get changed."
"Oh right, yeah. Got it." He rambled awkwardly, amusing Rea in the slightest way, "Pass me some sweats, I'll change outside."
"Okay." And Seth took the sweatpants and slipped back down the ladder. By the time he re-emerged, Rea was already changed and getting food out. She smiled at him, reaching out to pull him into the wooden room.
Seth grabbed the comforter from one of the corners, pulling it around the two imprints as they started to devour the chips they had opened.
