Chapters Twenty-Three: Great! Vampires on steroids.

The wolfs emerged from the treeline just before three am. They had agreed to meet the Cullen's to fight the newborn army; Sam, however, was reluctant to let Rea train and fight although he lost that argument so they compromised.

If Rea was to fight, she would be protecting Bella and the mind-reader. She was less likely to be hurt.

"Thank you for coming," the coven leader said, a small smile on his face as her gestures to the bronze haired vampire, "my son, Edward, will translate."

Oh, Rea thought to her pack, This
is who she's boning.

Rea! Shut up, Paul snarked back.

Growling at his pack to be quiet, Samual Uley slowly stepped forward before communicating with Edward via his gifts.

What's the difference between you
and this army?

"This army is comprised of newborns. Newborns are vampires that are in their first year of immortality. They are quicker, reckless and thats what makes them that much more dangerous than us."

The vampire chuckled at that, proceeding to tell his family the joke before the vampire with the accent started battling with his bodybuilder of a coven member.

The bear of a man used his brute strength trying to pin his brother down. The one withs the scars however, had a tactical advantage. It was amusing for Rea to watch, it was nice to see people fight who weren't Paul and Jared. It wasn't long till Emmett Cullen was pinned down and the next fight began.

~~ Carlisle vs Edward ~~

Rea wasn't surprised to see Edward's cockiness get the better of him, causing his defeat, even with his mind reader abilities in play.

~~ Alice vs Jasper ~~

The pixie soared into the trees, hiding from the so called vampire expert. She won by using her gift to outwit him.

~~ Jacob vs Jasper ~~

Although Jacob was a werewolf so by default she wanted him to whoop the vampires arse, she couldn't help that small, small, small part of her that wanted to see his ego deflate. And she couldn't imagine how funny it was when the leech got a grip on him so tight that he stopped breathing for a moment, before tapping out.

After the sparring, Edward Cullen walked towards his family again, "The wolves have also suggested that one of them stay with me and Bella in the mountains."

"Which one?" Bella said, joining Edward.

"The dark grey on in the corner, the girl."

    "Leah?"

At the mention of her name, Leah growled at the blood-sucker, denying Bella's question; Seth nudged her side, silently telling her to shut up and stop growling.

    "No, Sam's sister. Rhiannon."

"She likes to be called Rea." Bella smiled, she actually got on with the young shifter, unlike Leah who wanted to tear her guts out, "Oh and thanks for dropping me off the other day. I appreci-"

"Bella, Love, let's go home. There's no need for more talk. You're tired."

"Would you interrupt me if I was talking to Alice? No." Bella snarked before turning back to Rea and Seth. "Sorry about that, someone can't tell when they are being rude. But I appreciated that though. Thanks."

Nodding her wolfy head slightly, Rea turned and ran into the darkness of the woods, her imprint by her side.
