Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala sa nangyari, I made a deal with the devil. I owe him a lot. I have no idea what it means to owe him but I have already seen it as a blessing in disguise. The devil said he will collect it at his own term. What if he collects it when he’s with Cooler? That would be so great and I will end up kissing him in happiness! Or not. I already made a mistake of dealing with him so kissing him screams bad idea. I’d rather kiss Cooler!
I flipped through my gallery to check the photos I took nang minsang nasa iisang party lamang kami. I played stalker that night but it ends there. This cool Cooler guy disappeared without a trace at wala akong ideya kung nasaan siya. I don’t want to extend my stalking game so I didn’t try harder to find him at sa halip ay nagfocus sa pag-aaral, pagkolekta ng titulo sa pangalan at kung minsan ay nakikisali sa ginagawa ng pamilya-- which infuriates my father and pissed my uncle.

It’s just normal to keep it that way and only possible if we, my brother and I, were trained to continue this family business.
It pissed off my uncle Flavio for one reason. He wants to take over.
Despite my father’s disapproval of following his tracks, I always wanted to get involved, plus I am the perfect person he can train to continue the Bellomo business. At 25, I have a lot of titles and achievements already. I was accelerated in my studies and proved myself worthy and potential to handle the Bellomo business few times. “Yow sis!” My brother John called from outside.
“Pasok Juan.”
He entered my room with a frowning face. Dala niya ang kanyang laptop at umupo sa kama ko. “Do you have any idea how stupid you look right now?”
“Juan, hindi ka nagpunta rito para punahin ang ginagawa ko. Spill it.” I know I really look stupid. I lied in my bed with my head hanging on the side, one foot on my headboard and the other hanging on the bed. So what? I’m looking at my crush’s pictures! It’s just normal to act like a hormonal teenager.
John pulled my hair at inayos ang ulo ko sa kama. “Namumula na ang mukha mo. Nasa utak mo na ang lahat ng dugo mo.”
“I’m just blushing, I’m flipping through my gallery.”
“Landi,” he mumbled kaya agad akong umayos ng upo at piningutan ang tainga niya. He grunted a bit before he slapped my hand away. “Sige na, tingnan mo na ‘to.”
He showed me a sports car. “On auction, 2018 Audi R8.”
“Oh, bakit sa akin mo pinapakita? Show it to dad Juan, he will surely buy you one--”
My brother sulked and started kicking. “No, I want this Audi!”
“Then buy it!” Sometimes I forget that that my brother is just 17 years old. Malayo ang gap namin sa isa’t-isa but it’s not a hindrance for us to get along. Hindi kami naniniwala sa age gap and shits like that.
“Minsan talaga hindi ko mintindihan kung matalino ka ba talaga Pi!” he said, kicking my hips. I groaned and tried to kick him too pero nakaiwas siya. He doesn’t call me Ate-- as I instructed. I told him to call me Pi but little bro chose to call me sis but he calls me Pi when he’s frustrated at me.
“Get out of my room douchebag.”
“It’s an auction,” he said.
“Then go bid!”
“I want you to do it,” sabi niya.
“I’m busy, ask Ross.” Ross is his bodyguard. When you’re part of a crime family, hindi talaga maiiwasan na manganib ang buhay mo anumang oras, that’s why dad always makes sure we have a bodyguard sticking on our butt 24/7 which I find so annoying and unnecessary. Ilang beses na akong nagreklamo sa pagkakaroon ng bodyguard but my father is hearing none of that so what I did is make my bodyguards quit. So here I am, living freely without a bodyguard although minsan ay ramdam ko na tila may nakabuntot pa rin sa akin. At least they’re not within my 5 meter radius.
“But I am doing you a favor. Do you wanna hear it or no?” he asked.
A favor. For me. My eyes narrowed at my brother. “What favor?”
“Get me this Audi.”
“Juan how is getting you this Audi for my favor kasi sa kung saan ko titingnan, it’s for you. So what’s in for me?”
“Your crush.”
I raised a brow, grabbing his laptop. “This is Harry Styles’ car?!”
“No!” Tinampal niya ang kanyang noo. “That’s an Audi of Harry B. not Styles. The car he used for his 3 consecutive wins.”
“Harry B? Sino ‘yon?” tanong ko, bahagyang nadisappoint. I thought it’s Harry Styles’ car and if so, I’ll be getting it for myself, not for Juan.
“A drag racer. A very famous one.”
I shrugged. “Never heard of him.”
“Because you’re not fan of speed racing and stuff but...” He looked at me with his brows wriggling.
Yes way! Now I get it!
“Cooler Vander!”
John clapped. “Finally sis! He will surely be there. He likes Harry B. so much.”
Because I did stalking for a while, I know that Cooler Vander loves drag racing and he’s actually good in that. Yep, not the legal one but the ones where you pissed off the government, by doing what’s prohibited and huge money and lives are at stake.
I cupped my brother’s cheeks, squeezing it so tight that it made him groan. “Cooler will be there?” paninigurado ko.
He slapped away my hand. “Cooler will be there. I saw his name on the list so I registered yours.”
“You’re not actually doing me a favor Juan,” I slapped the back of his head, which made him cuss few times. “You are using me for your favor.”
He knows so well that auctions are not an easy game no matter how much money you have lalo na kung hindi lamang ikaw ang mapera roon. And Cooler Vander is a race enthusiast, a car lover and I am sure he will do anything to get that car too lalo na kung gusto niya iyon. Plus hindi lamang silang dalawa ni Cooler ang magiging magkaagaw sa Audi na iyon.
John smiled sheepishly. “Please sis?”
He knows I am smart enough to get what I want in any way possible. Plus my convincing power is on another level so John is confident I can close the bid.
Both win on our side. John will be happy with the Audi. I will be happy seeing Cooler. Probably, we will argue over the bidding price and that way he will notice me.
Believe me, it’s one of the best ways to develop romance. I can’t wait!
