When your alarm goes off, you don't bother hitting snooze like you usually do. You needed something to do to distract you. You had only slept for like 2 hours anyway, and spending hours lying in bed gave you too much time to think.
You endured a shower and got dressed, not bothering to dry your hair and putting it into a messy wet bun
When you went to your mirror, your breath caught in your throat at the sight of your face, the red patch from last night had turned a purple-blue colour on your cheekbone. You brought your hand up to your face to touch the bruising and flinched at the pain. You took your hand away and started to work on the cover up job.
It took you about thirty minutes to cover it in foundation, concealer and powder and to finish the rest of your face, so that when you were done, you could barely tell. Your eyes were puffy from all the crying, not helped by your lack of sleep, and the swelling on the side of your face was slightly visible, but not bad enough that anyone would ask questions.
You took the train to work, on your way glancing at your neighbour's house where your boyfriend would have stayed last night.
You shook your head of the thoughts. When you finally reached your stop you were a little early so before going into your office, you grabbed a coffee from the shop you always used to buy it from for Yoongi and yourself
When you got into BigHit, you smiled at people who passed, hoping they wouldn't say anything about your face or how tired you looked, and they didn't
You knocked on the door before entering and then opened it, where you saw Yoongi at the computer, headphones on. He wouldn't have heard you then.
You went in and placed your two coffees on the desk, sitting in your chair, wondering when he would acknowledge your presence.
A few seconds later, you decided to just tap his shoulder. When you did, he looked unsurprised and didn't jump like you expected. He had heard you come in...but just chose to ignore you.
"Oh hey, (y/n)," he muttered. His face remained unchanged as he took off the headphones and placed them around his neck.
"I got us coffee," you said quietly and pointed at the two coffee cups sat on the desk.
"Oh..thank you...but I'm going caffeine free for a little while," he explained, not sounding as apologetic as he usually would have been.
"Ah, okay. No worries," you said with a forced smile and he smiled back, but it was also a fake smile. He put his headphones back on and went back to his computer desk, not sparing another glance at you.
You sighed and took a sip of your own coffee, logging into your computer and leaving the second coffee to go cold. Colder than the atmosphere in here.
You checked your emails and saw Bang PD had emailed a couple of people about a meeting in forty five minutes, instantly, you checked who the emails had been sent to.
You closed your eyes and breathed a sigh of relief when you saw that Tai had not been emailed about the meeting. You don't know how you would react if you saw Tai right now.
You sneaked a glance over at Yoongi, who must have been working on an independent track. He was definitely mad at you.
You answered a couple of emails and before you knew it, it was time for the meeting.
"Shall we go?" You asked Yoongi in the quietest voice, afraid of breaking the silence.
He looked at you and then checked the clock, "Yeah."
You both headed to the meeting room and sat there, it lasted for about an hour, but it went quick. It was about the new junior group, which I now learnt was called TXT, and the introduction tracks we needed to make. There were a couple of people you had never seen before there, and you learnt that they were external producers hired as interns and were going to be writing tracks for TXT as their trials.
Hitman Bang told you all to work on the tracks for today and told you and Yoongi specifically that we didn't need to worry about our tracks for BTS until next week.
We both nodded and he ended the meeting. As everyone started to file out of the meeting, you and Yoongi headed down the long corridor, back to your office.
On your way, though, you passed Tai, making you stop in your tracks so Yoongi accidentally bumped into you, saying "hey (y/n), what are you doing?" You couldn't reply as you stared at Tai who walked passed you, not even acknowledging your presence. As he passed, Yoongi walked around you, tutting at your reaction to Tai.
"Come on (y/n), we have work to do." Yoongi reminded you, his tone pissed.
You nodded and followed behind Yoongi, blinking the tears away, before they got a chance to fall.
When you reached the office, the two of you got working on the track on Yoongi's computer, not really talking about anything but the music.
It was driving you crazy, not being able to talk to Yoongi about all of this.
Half an hour later, someone knocked on the door and both you and Yoongi looked towards it as Yoongi called, "It's open!"
When the door opened, you were greeted with the another person you did not want to see today. Lina.
She smiled as she walked in, flicking her ponytail onto her shoulder as she looked at you. "Hey, sorry to bother you (y/n), I just wanted to come and say sorry about everything."
You were dumbfounded, "Sorry?"
"Well...Tai told me...I was going to come and tell you what happened between us...but I just...never got the chance." She thought carefully about her words, but the mocking tone never went away.
"Oh. So he told you." You said, unamused.
"Yeah, he came over late last night and told me how you found out. Sorry again."
You were winded instantly, the words and breath taken away from you. He went to stay with her. Of course.
"I see." You said, after a short while, these two words being the only ones you could get out without giving your shock away. You avoided eye contact at all costs.
"I hope we can still be friends though." She said with that smile again. "I'll let you think about it," she added as she strutted out of the room.
When the door shut behind her, your body relaxed and you leaned back into your chair.
You tried to breath through the emotions that were washing over you, and tried to do it quietly so Yoongi didn't say anything.
"What was that all about," Yoongi asked, his smirk audible in his words.
You laughed fakery to cover your pain, "Last night Tai told me....he kissed Lina."
Yoongi immediately started laughing, "Oh my f*ck! What a hypocrite!" He laughed through the words, not even considering your place in this equation.
The fact Yoongi laughed really hurt. He must've been really mad about me leaving him last night.
At this point it was too late. Your relationship has been a complete fad and to make matters worse, it had damaged your friendship with Yoongi. This time, you couldn't conceal the emotions that hit you as the tears spilled over.
"I'm glad you find all this amusing," you whispered as you got up from your chair and ran out, heading for the bathroom.
"(Y/n) wait!" You heard behind you but the sound was muffled by the tears and emotion that struck you.
You entered the bathroom and locked yourself in a stall, luckily you were the only one in there.
You sank to the floor, leaning on the walls as you sank slower and slower.
