chapter 12

holly's pov

i walk into the nearest place which happened to be starbucks. i decided to call rydel so she could pick me up. 

r- hello?

h- hey im at starbucks in goldburg street(a/n made up) i have no car can you pick me up.

r- sure but we don't have much time.

a white van rolls in front of starbucks and a tall blonde with tinseled hair waves at me. rydel. i run in the car and she drives off. " whats the emergency ?" i ask frantically. she holds out a small item . " OH MY GOSH SHE'S GONNA!- " rydel covers my mouth. " yep " she takes her hand away and puts it back on the steering wheel. " but she can't " i panick. " she can, and trust me she will " rydel says sorrowfully . "it's not time yet !!! i can't let ross do this " i frown . " and thats why i brought you " she smirks. " your gonna crash this ' thing ' and you will be the surprise " " i thought you liked that little bitch " i ask . " i did. but when ross told the truth i got so mad at what she did. i thought we could be friends but then i found this. now im not so sure " she answers. " how can i fix any of this " i ask . "just come with me " she pulls into a mall parking space and tells me everything detail on whats going on "- and you are going to save it " she finishes. " why are we at the mall?" i ask her. " because your not wearing that to crash a romantic dinner on the beach" she says seriously. i laugh. " so what do you have in mind " " a dress " she smiles, i frown. " im not wearing a- " she cuts me off " do you wanna let a skank steal your best friend " she asks. " he doesn't even like me " " he poured coffee on himslef for you, trust me he never did that for riley " she laughs. i give in and let rydel drag me from store to store.

rocky's pov

me and ryland finish setting up the table for 2 in the perfect spot on the beach. it was a secret spot nobody visits we got premission and the people that run the beach are maing sure that nobody enters this part. the blazing sun hits us like a ton of bricks. " its so hot " riker wipes sweat off his forehead. " i know. how did we get into this ?" he asks. " when riley wants something we have no say against it " ryland comments. we all nod in agreement. " what is she even planning?" ratliff asks as he finnishes pinning up some fairy lights. " i don't know she says it has to be perfect or else she will die of devstation and grief " ryland hulls a load of roses over his shoulder. " this must be really important................ so ......... much........... rose ............ pedals " he tips over. we all laugh and help him up. " why do you think rydel said holly instead of riley " i ask. " maybe she misses holly. we were pretty harsh on her for no reason " riker shrugs and puts the stainless white table cloth over the table . " i wonder if holly is apart of this " ryland asks hopefully. " no , riley hates holly " i shake my head. " why?" ratliff asks. " she feel threatened by her . i don't know she made us hate her for a reason right" he nods. my phone starts to ring. " hello?" i ask ( R- rocky, r- rydel)

r- rocky ! how is everything coming together?"

R-fine we found a really good spot and we just finshed setting up the table

r- perfect

R- hey do you know what is going on why are we doing this

r- trust me you wouldn't believe it if i told you

R- seriously just tell me

r- sorry rocky i can't i can't even speak of it

R- why not?

r- i just can't rocky . keep up the work

she hangs up. the boys look at me with hope. i shake my head. the look down and continue workking. what is this about ?

rydel's pov

holly and i return to my house. i check my watch 5:34. " i need you to pick out a meaningful song and practice it you can over to ratliff's riley should be on her way home. i will help you get ready after she leaves " i tell holly. a silver toyota pulls in the drive way. " oh my gosh she's here! ok go out the back door now!!!" i push holly out the back door . " go around the house hurry " i tell her. she nods and jumps away just as riley enters. i spin around. " riley your home! how was april ?" i ask " its fine. what are you doing at the door ?" she asks. " oh umm. i saw a fly and i let it out ?" i say more of a question. " i mean yea , stupid flys ya know? ok lets learn the song " i  rush to the room. " no im not learning any songs thats not what i want. just help me get ready " she takes my arm and drags me up stairs. her dress was a white very very tight she could barely breathe. i curled her brown hair and twisted in some tinsle in her hair. she put on white heels and lots of make up. it took like 2 hours to get her and i ready . its 7 now. she looks at the time. " oh my gosh we have to go " she frowns. " you go ahead i think i lost my phone im gonna find it " i excuse. " fine hurry " she walk out and leaves. i call holly

h- hello? rydel?

r- riley just left. do you have a song?

h- yea

r- what is it?

h- only you can love me this way by keith urban

r- ok. hurry on over here so we can get you ready

h- im outside

i look over at the door. she was knocking on the glass screen begging me to let her in . i walk over and open it for her. she runs in and i take her upstairs. her dress was a red short princess-like dress that was free at the bottom which went down to her knees. she looked so pretty in it. i pinned her hair to the side with pearls and let her borrow my pearl dangly earrings and bracelet . she put on some of riley's white flats with a small dimound in the center of each. she looked amazing. " its strange " she says through silence. " what?" i ask. " its been forever sense i've seen you. then you hated me . and now you helping me crash a important night for riley " she shrugs closing her eyes so i could do her make up. " it feel like we jummped right back on path from when i left" i tell her. " yea. your like my sister rydel. i don't wanna loose my friends. my FAMILY again " she frowns. " don't worry you won't " i assure her. i finally finsh and we go to the beach. i can't believe im doing this
