"There were no survivors from the attack." Ray sighed walking next to Rip the two returning from their trip outdoors to meet the rebel's.
"No, whatever weapon Savage used against the rebels was quite effective." Rip admitted with a small shake of his head. That hadn't even been a battle it was a slaughter. This new mystery weapon appeared to be quite unbeatable.
"Maybe Professor Stein and I should survey the wreckage, analyze some soil samples, determine what kind of weaponry Savage is using. If Clarity's feeling up to it maybe she could even track the thing down? Until we figure out a way to thwart his firepower, the rebels are as good as dead." Ray suggested his mind racing with ideas on just how they could help these people. They needed them, whatever this weapon was the rebels had no way of taking something like that down on their own.
"But remember why we're here: to stop Savage, not to slow him down." Rip replied quickening his pace to enter the bridge. "Do we have a plan for- is everything alright?" Rip cut his question off with a new one upon seeing Mick, Snart, Sara and Todd all gathered around huddled in a corner of the bridge. Even Kendra stood just outside the huddled group her arms crossed.
"Define "Alright?"" Todd sighed straightening up Snart and him both moving aside so Rip and Ray could both get a clear look at Clarity who was sitting in her comfy corner wrapped in her fuzzy blue blanket with a seemingly haunted look in her eyes. The woman's form was tense, the fabric of her blanket clutched tight in her hands. Her fingers had burned through the material making holes for the digits to fit through.
It didn't take long for Rip or Ray to realize she was trembling. The poor woman couldn't stop shaking. Small lightning bolts as thin as a wisp of hair gliding across her all too pale face every so often joining the cold beads of sweat that migrated down her temple.
"What happened?" Ray asked rushing over to her joining in on the circle of concern, Rip going with him. Clarity didn't so much as turn her head or acknowledge their presence as they approached. She just stared off into the distance. Her eyes unfocused, her mind far off, senses numb. They were all dead.
"I'm still not entirely sure, one second we were talking and the next she got all pale and her powers started acting up. The only thing she said was that we're all going to die, before she just slid down into this corner and...shut down." Sara attempted to explain.
"Hence the comfort blanket. Not that it's doing much good." Snart crossed his arms.
"I've never seen her get like this." Todd informed Rip and Ray with a shake of his head.
