you sit with the boys in the kitchen. you're at rockfield studios.

john and brian are arguing with roger (your boyfriend) because of his new song. 'i'm in love with my car'.

you have your head on the table, absolutely sick of hearing them argue. it's all the time and you're starting to regret you even came with roger. it's literally all they do.

"i put my heart and soul into this song." roger tells the boys.

"roger, babe, don't start again." you say.

"i'm sorry, y/n. but they don't like it because they want there songs on the album." he says to me.

"it's not that, roger." john speaks up.

"then what is it?" roger raises his voice slightly.

"guys, just stop." you groan, getting a cup if coffee before you kill one of them.

"i'm in love with my car..?" brian furrows his eyebrows. "maybe it's not strong enough?"

"what does that even mean, not strong enough?" roger asks. "you think it's 'strong enough' don't you, y/n?"

"i'm not getting involved, rog." you answer. he just scoffs.

"you don't think it's strong enough, do you?" he says facing you.

"i don't know." you shrug. freddie walks in and asks what he's missed. "thank god, freddie. please sort them out, i'm close to killing them."

freddie just chuckles.

"we're discussing roger's car song." john informs him.

"is it strong enough? that's all i'm asking. if i'm on my own here, then i apologise." brian says.

"how does your new song go then? hm?" roger says picking up a sheet of paper. you're tempted to just go back to bed. "'you call me sweet, like i'm some kind of cheese'."

you can't help but laugh. you stop when brian looks at you and you apologise to him. you walk over to roger and he puts an arm around your shoulder.

"it's good!" brian tells us.

"wow!" roger says and you giggle, giving him a playful slap on the chest.

"is that-is that, you know.. 'when my hands on your grease gun'. that's very subtle." brian replies. you put your hand over your mouth to stop yourself from laughing out loud.

"it's a metaphor, brian!" you can see that he's getting slightly angry.

"calm down, love." you whisper to him. he just looks at you and sighs.

"it's just a bit weird, roger. what exactly are you doing with that car?" john asks him.

"children, please." freddie says. "we can all murder each other but then who would be left to record this album?"

"thank you." you smile and you look at roger. he just rolls his eyes.

"statistically speaking, most bands don't fail, they break up." john tells us. you look down at the floor as everyone stares at him.

"why the hell would you say something like that?" john shrugs. "roger, there's only room in this band for one hysterical queen."

you smile at freddie. you've always loved freddie.

"i know why you're angry, roger." brian then says. you put your hand on your head.

"why?"

"'cause you know your song isn't strong enough." you sit back down and drink your coffee. you can't be arsed with them anymore.

roger takes a handful of food and throws it at brian.

"roger.." you start to say but your interrupted by roger shouting.

"is that strong enough?!"

john looks at you and raises his eyebrows. you just shake your head and smile at him.

roger then knocks plates to the floor, and you watch them smash.

"what about that?!"

"roger!" you shout, again he doesn't listen.

he grabs the coffee machine and he nearly throws it, but the two boys stop him.

"not the coffee machine!" they both yell at the same time. you stand up and take roger's hand. he puts the coffee machine down and walks out the kitchen, with you.

"thank god that's over

"thank god that's over." you mutter to yourself.
