Yo fellow Shadowhunters! I'm so sorry for my writting/ publishing slump these last two to three weeks. I guess I've been super picky about how I wanted to continue this, and have been stuck with writing in general. but I decided I would just go with it and not even think about it like I was when writing the first book to this fanfiction. ;)

ps, I have an origonal story idea (lots but one that I might publish) and if you are intrested in me publishing it on wattpad, let me know. once I reach 10 coments for recomendations, I will publish it! even if its five years from now. lol. alright, enjoy the story.

Third POV: Derek moves by Salina, looking out to find a huge shadow above Jason's head.

"Shit.... Jason's this things master?"

Salina gives a nod, followed by a shrug.

"I guess so."

Derek gives her a worried frown. This didn't seem right. Jason wouldn't do something like this after saving them all from a terrible fate... would he? He didn't really know the new Blondale, but he had a good sense about people. And he was very sure that Jason wasn't a bad person. Someone that would take advantage of them.

"He did live with Jonathan, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was just as messed up."

"I don't think so. If he was, he would have let us die."

Salina shakes her head.

"You always see the good side of people, Derek. Someday that's just going to break your heart."

Derek turns away from his sister, his eyes going hard. He lets out a sigh.

"Sure. I see the good side... especially if they are family."
"Sometimes family- blood, doesn't matter. Sebastian was Clary's brother, yet she was more than willing to kill him when it came down to it."

Derek didn't want to listen to any more of this. He knew that his sister always kept this wall around her. He understood. He had one of his own too. After their parents left, it made it harder to have trust in people. Trust that they were truly what they say they were. That they were the people you always believed them to be. Sometimes life disappoints though. But you can't blame a good heart who tried. You can't judge a person based where they were raised either. Nor define a person by what their blood holds.

Salina starts to add something to her little pep talk, but Derek ignores her and walks in the room.

"Derek. Come back here! What are you doing...!?!"

Salina follows, reaching out for her brother as he keeps on walking, ignoring her.

He needed to find the right angle to attack this thing... it appeared to be made of some sort of smoke, but beneath it all, there was solid body to suck his blade into.

With his boomerang at his side, he uses is vampire speed to move a little closer to the demon. It was a long shot, he knew. To kill it was not possible with only three people, two with weapons, the third close enough to be killed.

When a person was that close to danger, the only thing anyone else could do was be as quiet as possible, and make a sneak attack from behind. But it had to be a brutal one. Derek knew his weapon was not enough for this kind of attack, with this large a creature, who he had no idea how strong it was. since this monster was prodigious, he assumed it was powerful... this wasn't going to be an easy kill.
