Part two

|| Sam POV||

"Sam?"

"Jughead." I was frozen, I held my helmet in my shaking hand as I stared at the confused boy in front of me.

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!" He yells and I took a step back "I WAS WORRIED FOR, 4 FUCKING YEARS!" He took a step closer and my breath got caught in my throat.

"I.." I frantically look around the empty restaurant for an escape "if I told you where I've been, where I've slept, where I've lived they will find me and they will kill me." I said lowly, I skeptically looked around the room.

"what?" Jughead asks me.

"my name is Max, got it?" He stared me down in anger, he furrows his eyebrows at me and I stare back at Jughead equally angry.

"So, Max where have you been?" Jug asks me through his gritted teeth as I sipped on my chocolate milkshake.

"around the south side, but I've been at a place called Athens." I leaned back into the booths seat as Jughead looks at me in disgust.

"Athens." He grimaced "out of all the places you could've gone to, it was Athens." He threw his fry at the tray and stared me down "what's next? You're not a serpent anymore?" He asks cockily with a nasty twinge to it, I shifted in my seat.

"I had to protect...My." I look down at my stomach and sigh "I had to protect me.." I touch my stomach where the ghost of a child once was, I aborted the child a year ago.

I walked to my run down trash yard of a home with the aura of paranoia consuming me "what if he is after me? What if he tells FP?" I whispered to myself as I quickened my pace to my home as i felt like I was being followed.

A month later...

I sat under my table and finished my homework, the table keeps me hidden from the windows, I've been living in constant fear since I've come back into Riverdale.

A knock at my door scares me "is anyone there? It's me Jughead!" I stare at the front door, I see that beanie crown and sigh.

"I-I'm h-here!" I wiped my face from the burning tears on my bright red cheeks and crawled out from under the table. I get up and unlocked every single lock on the door "come in." I step aside shakily and let him into my home.

"there's a serpent meeting tonight, come, you are one of us after all." He turns around and crosses his arms, I violently shook my head.

"NO! I can't- I can't go." I hug my body and pulled my denim jacket closer and hung my head low and shut down.

"what is with you!" He roars and I stepped back from him.

"don't go near me." I growl.

"YOU are a serpent, YOU aren't supposed to be like.... ARGH this!" He pokes my chest as he gets even more angrier.

"back down Jughead." I pleaded and our faces were inches apart, his hot breath in my face, it smelt of mint.

"what happened to the fearless girl I knew?" He whispers and my eyes gazed to the floor.

"I'm scared." I whispered ever so quietly to him.

"of what?" He asks me, his face softens slightly.

"They're gonna kill me." I grip my nails harder into my palms as I hold my jacket close me to my body.

"who is! ANSWER ME!" Jughead was furious and it scared me.

"THE SERPENTS' THEY WILL KILL ME!" I screamed loudly and hid underneath the table once again.

"get out from under there." Jug ordered.

"TALLBOY WILL KILL ME IF HE SEES ME AGAIN! SO WILL PENNY!" I cried out from under the table.

"why." Jughead asks.

"because! BECAUSE I WAS PREGNANT WITH HIS CHILD! HE RAPED ME! HE WAS GONNA KILL ME AND SHE WANTS ME TO DO HER DIRTY WORK! I COULDNT DO IT SHE WOULDVE KILLED MY BABY IF I HADNT DONE IT FIRST!" I screamed.

"Sam." I see the table cover lift up and I scoot back and my back hits the wall.

"don't touch me! I don't need your help! I'm fine on my own! I've been missing for, FOUR YEARS JUGGIE! FOUR!" He stares at me with those dull eyes.

"Sam." He repeats "come here please I won't hurt you." I watch his hand outstretch towards me and I shake even more than before.

It's been three hours and I'm still under the table but Jughead is here with me "I'm sorry." Jug whispered "I'm sorry that, that bastard is still around, come home with me." I looked at him in sorrow.

"what about FP?" I whispered.

"he misses you." He says quietly.

"what if he hurts me too Juggie." He slowly moves his hand and it touches mine.

"dad won't hurt you, Serpents can't hurt their own." I nod my head.

"okay." We both get out from under the table and leave my house.

"Dad?" Jug calls out.

"what's up Ki- what the hell?" He laughs as he sees me "Sammy?" He asks me and I nod my head "where have you been? I sent serpents to find you!" I took a step back.

"Dad don't." Jughead warns.

"what? What's wrong?" He asks "Sam?" FP looks at me in confusion "what happened to you?" He asks me "Sam!" He shouts and I cower.

"tallboy and Penny..." I whispered.

"what did they do to you?" He growls.

"rape me, tried to kill me..." I touched my stomach once again "I had to... I had to escape, they're still looking for me." He looks at me in horror.

"Tallboy did that to you?" He asks and I nod "did he hurt you?" FP growls and I nod.

"he raped me, he tortured me... he made me kill my baby." I wail "I didn't want it, but he stabbed my stomach after I said I aborted it, he found me," I paused for a moment then continued on "Penny was making me do her dirty work, so she would keep her mouth shut from everyone two years ago..." everything I was holding in was suddenly blurred out, I felt sick to my stomach after I told Fp and Jughead what was going on in my life. FP opens his arms out wide and I hugged him.

"welcome home, Sammy." I smiled as he hugged me tighter, his hands in my hair and he kissed my temple "you've gotten taller, kid." We laugh.

"I know, I'm a weirdo now." FP shakes his head.

"you still look beautiful to me, Sammy." I smiled softly at him.

"thank you, FP." He lets go and I smiled up at him.

"Come with Jughead and I tonight, I know you've suffered in silence but we have a special thing tonight." I looked at Jughead then back at FP.

"okay." And we left for the Whyte Worm.
