Once a door closes, a new one opens || Ritsu x reader fan fiction {WIP}

Chapter 7

I stood up from the couch and went to the door and opened. It was Ritsu. I welcomed him and asked him why he was here.

''I was passing by and decided to check if you're okay. May i come in?'' He ended his sentence with that question and with that i welcomed him in. I noticed by his looks that he is troubled by something.
''What's wrong?''
''There's something changed, but i don't quite realize what.''
I grinned at that and then pointed to the cage with the parrot and he hummed and walked to it.
''What breed is that?''
''Cockatiel.''
''And what's the gender?''
''Male.''
''What's this name?''
''Dobi.''

He tried to approach him and pet him, but the parrot hissed and attempted to peck him. I giggled at that.

''He isn't here even for a day and he never met you. What'd you expect?''

He backed away and went to wander around the rooms. After a solid 5 minutes or so, i asked him.
''So, do you want anything to eat or drink? I can make something for you if you want.''
''Can i have water?'' Was the only thing he asked for. I gave him the water and i went back on the couch, to watch TV. After a while he sat next to me and asked me what i was watching. 
''Nothing, just checking what i could possibly watch, because most of the stuff is boring.''
''If you have nothing to do, i could call the boys and come over? We could play some games if you want.''
''Sure.''

And with that he called his friends, who came over on the moment, like they were stalking us in front of the door, which surely creeped me out. There were the blonde, his brother and a ginger. Ritsu opened the door to them and welcomed them in, as i just watched they enter my house. I sighed, as they were talking about something until i heard.

''So you guys want to play Truth or Dare?''

And everyone went nuts. Ritsu was trying to calm them down and i was just watching giggling, until everyone turned their attention to me. I froze, because all eyes were on me.

''This is your house and i never noticed you here.'' Is what the blond guy said, which truth be told, kind of hurt, so i pulled out one offended look, crossed my arms and turned around.

He let out an 'uuh' and grabbed my shoulder lightly, as i turned my head to him. I hummed with a confused look on my face. 

''I believe we haven't introduced each other properly. I'm Hanazawa. Hanazawa Teruki. People call me Teru.''

I nodded and spoke up. ''I'm Y/N L/N.''
There was silence after that. It turned to be an awkward one of course. After a couple of minutes they started a new conversation, while i just sat there. I decided to go play with the parrot, which of course, made a lot of squeaky noises. They occasionally looked at me, wondering why i was torturing the poor animal, while i was trying to tame him, since he was still quite wild. Took me a few tries, before he actually started to try and bite. As he bit me, i let out a small squeak, but it couldn't be heard over their conversation. I sighed and went to pick water, when i realized Ritsu was in the kitchen too.

''Do you need help with anything?'' My sudden question startled him a little, but he nodded no.

''Just a little curious what you have here.''

I look at him in confusion. I mean who the hell is just observing someone's kitchen. Well the answer is obvious, but i shrugged it off.

I went to take the parrot's cage to my room. I decided to train him there and try to tame him. I started going upstairs, almost falling since i wasn't able to see where i was walking. I was right in front of my room. I put the cage on the floor, resulting the parrot to scream a little, while i opened the door. When i went in and closed the door, holding the cage of course, i still heard some loud shouts from time to time. They forgot the truth or dare and i was totally fine with that, since i got a little anxious from the thought of playing with this many people.

The parrot made ear piercing screams from time to time as i try to approach him. When he does that, i noticed that the group remained silent for a while, probably figuring out where the screams came from. I sat on the floor, staring at the cage. The parrot observed the new room he's in, because of the fact he never went in here in the first place. He looked around, being curious about every single detail. The desk, the lamp, he even stared at the floor for a solid minute, observing every detail. After that he let another ear piercing scream, catching me off-guard and startling me. The group from downstairs became silent again for a couple of seconds, before continuing their 'party'. I flopped on the floor, letting a slight 'thud' from underneath. I took a deep breath, finally noticing that taming the parrot will be one hectic of a mission.

I took another deep breath, until i heard a knock on my door. It was probably Ritsu, so i told them to come in. To my luck it wasn't who i expected. Instead his brother came in. He then noticed that he went in the wrong room, becoming all flustered, while i looked at him while laying on the floor, with a confused expression.

''I-i'm sorry, w-wrong room.''

I waved at him, signaling it's not a big deal. He simply nodded, left and closed the door. I looked over to the parrot again, who simply just continued his staring competition with the walls. I smiled at the innocent creature, who will probably be locked in a cage for quite a while. Before i noticed, i drifted off to sleep on the floor.
