Chapter 10

You were asleep on your couch after a long day of school. Thank god you didn't forget your phone at school even if you were a little disorganized.

The phone was in your pocket. You started bringing it everywhere after forgetting it the other day. It suddenly buzzed and woke you up. Startled, you took it out and checked what caused the buzz. Kylie seemed to start texting you again.

"Hey, what made you go so sudden yesterday?"

You sighed. Didn't she have school? Why is she asking you?

"Oh, well, i have school. I don't know about you, but i want to have a proper sleeping schedule."

No response. You decided to go feed the bird again and spend time with it. You left the phone on the couch. The cockatiel started to grow closer towards you, which made you smile.

10 P.M.

There could be heard a buzz, but you ignored it, remembering you have homework to do.

You rushed to your room, panicking. Guess what. You forgot the backpack downstairs, making you groan. You went to pick it up, also getting the phone along the way. You set up the alarm.

11:40 P.M.

After rushing through papers for a solid one and a half hours you finished. There were many grammar mistakes, but who cares at that point. Ain't pulling out an allnighter just because of a few questions.

You quickly changed into your pajamas and went to sleep. The dream you had.. wasn't very pleasant.

"... i got a call from the hospital... they said there was no chance they would survive.."

There was your aunt, taking care of you while your parents were at the hospital.

Your aunt, well she is a very busy person. Sometimes she came over to visit, but that is a very rare occasion.

Your eyes were swelling up with tears. Your 10 year old self can't handle this much at once. You broke down and hugged your aunt.

You woke up, tears still running down your cheek. You have missed a few classes due to oversleeping.

Letting out a long sigh, you stood up and changed into a gray hoodie and put on some gray jeans. You decided to skip school, not wanting to be any more awkward by coming in late.

It wasn't cold outside or anything.The weather was still slightly chill, but it wasn't a big deal for you. You needed some alone time after all.

It was awfully calm. No traffic or anything. You didn't like the vibe it gave off. It was already around 3 P.M. so it was normal for there to be a lot of traffic, but God said no.

Whatever, the walk was calm and you liked it. The air was fresh and that made it even better. There was a bench nearby under a tree. It was odd, but you decided to sit on it. You took out your phone and started browsing and scrolling through stuff.

You could feel another presence approaching. Anyways, you tried to distantce yourself from the thought of your parents. Your aunt wasn't coming to visit any time soon too.

You could feel a faint presence of another human being so you looked at who's nearby. There were the two brothers walking together to their home. They didn't seem to notice you and that was fine with you. You smiled at them and continued scrolling through your phone. You saw some familiar faces and all that.

Kylie started to text you again. You groaned and it was slightly loud, making the passing boys' attention turn to you. You froze. Both of them waved to you and it seems like Ritsu was telling his brother something before he rushed to you. You waved at him.

''Hey Y/N! Why didn't you come today?''

''Oh, i overslept, if that's a proper reason.''

''Ah i see.'' He sat next to you. ''So what are you doing?''

''A girl from elementary school started to text me lately. It's sometimes annoying not gonna lie.''

He hummed and just looked around.. until..

''Oh, so.. where are your parents? You're always alone.''

The question made you freeze. It seemed quite familiar to you. You shook your head, trying to keep the tears away.

''You don't have to answer if you don't want to..'' He looked at you concerned.

''N-no it's okay...'' You noticed you started to tear up a little. ''Well.. they got in a car accident.. and well.. didn't make it through...''

A few seconds passed before breaking down. Your eyes were getting puffy and red, so you covered your face with your hands. 

Suddenly you felt warmth around you. You opened your eyes and removed your hands from your face, only to see the taller male hugging you.

''I---'' 

You quickly got cut off by him shushing you. That.. made you feel like you were a baby. But whatever. You enjoyed the hug. There was finally someone that understood you and that made you happy.
