Keith's mouth is moving at rapid rate. I don't know whether he's talking to the team or to me. If he's talking to me I can't hear him. I should probably tell him I can't hear him. He might get mad if I don't answer him, he always gets mad at me. They all do. I don't blame them, I'm pretty useless.

What if he asks me a question and I'm not able to answer? He'll get mad and yell. Yeah I won't be able to hear him, but I don't like it when he gets mad. I like seeing Keith smile, not scowling. I scoot closer to the back of Red, I hope Keith doesn't yell at me.

I look up from my knees to see Keith staring at me expectantly. While I wondering what would happen if Keith asked me a question he asked a question. I should really tell him. I decide and attempt to stand. Which only results a few stumbles before I'm being held up by Keith again.

With worried eyes he helps me sit back down, then he sits right beside me. His mouth continues to move before I put a finger to his lips. I've never seen this boy's mouth move so much.

I open my mouth to tell him, but the only thing that comes out is a rasp leading to a coughing fit. My forehead falls to his shoulders as the painful coughing continues. My throat is so dry it's become raw and extremely painful, I feel tears pricking the corners of my eyes. I'm thankful for the hand rubbing slow circles on my back.

Once I regain the little composure I have left I raise my head. Violet eyes laced with worry and concern stare back at me. Well, I guess I'm become a mime.

I point to myself then my hands move up to my ears as I mouth can't hear.  Then I point to him and don't bother mouthing anything.

His eyes widen and he seems to understand. He speaks again, but more slowly so I can understand. Why is what he says.

In response I give a weak finger guns gesture.

He speaks again but the only words I can make out are you and shot.

I shake my head and move my hands around my ears and mouth the word gunfire. I hope he understands because Red is landing in the castle.

She opens her jaws after landing, allowing Keith and I to leave. I slowly get to my feet,  my legs feel so weak. So tired. An arm wraps itself under my shoulders, stabilizing me. I give Keith a small smile, but it doesn't reach my eyes. I hope he doesn't see through that though.

Keith leads me to the group, who stands anxiously near the entrance of the room. We're only a few feet away from the group when I feel Keith's arms slip away. He walks to the group, I hope informing them I can't hear.

They all look to me with sad eyes, he told them. I feel arms wrap tightly around my torso and look down to see Pidge with their face buried in my shirt.

I gently run my fingers through their hair and pat their shaking back. I want to tell them things that'll reassure and calm them. I want to tell them I'm okay, but we both know that's not true.

I watch as they lets go and with a smile gives me a gentle punch in the arm.

They walks back to the group only for me to be embraced again, this time in a bigger hold. I tuck my face into Hunk's shoulder. It might sound weird, but I like the smell of Hunk. It smells like home.

Hunk holds me in his arms forever, occasionally squeezing me to tight. I pat his back when he does though, he understands.

Allura and Shiro just give a smile and pat my shoulder gently. Then I look to Coran, tears lining the rim of his eyes. He puts his hand on my shoulder and grips it tightly. I watch as he says something very slow. Come Lance, let's get you to a pod.
