The hearing loss never ceased to exist. It still came to Lance in the most crowded rooms.

But Keith was there.

All Lance had to do was slip his hand into Keith's and give it a gentle squeeze. Then Keith would take him away from all the noise.

It came to him in the midst of battle. There was no option for a timeout. So, he just fought through the loudness or the overwhelming quiet. But as soon was the battle was over with, he'd confide in Keith.

No matter the situation Keith would run his fingers through Lance's hair until the pounding in his head disappeared.

Keith's lips would graze Lance's forehead, " See Lance, you were never broken. Just a little cracked."
