"How is it, Fiva? Not a bad meal for just scavenging around in the forest, right?" Eric asked through a full mouth as he took a bite of the cooked fish, though Fiva seemed to be too preoccupied to answer him at the moment as she looked more like a wolf than a cat while tearing through the fish meat. Not to mention that she even growled at him when he took a bare bone away from her so that she could grab another piece.
"Thish is good!" She eventually agreed as she started slowing down and cleared her mouth for the first time since they'd started the meal. "But I'm still a little surprised that we stopped to eat."
"Why's that?" Eric asked while speaking with his mouth full again.
"Because the guards will probably be coming after us, wont they?" Fiva asked. "We should be moving as much as we can right now in order to keep them from finding us, not stopping to eat."
"You're the only one that can outrun them should they catch up to us, and you needed to eat so it couldn't be helped." Eric shrugged. "Besides, everything will work out in the end."
"You seemed confident about that back in Baleford too." Fiva narrowed her eyes at him suspiciously. "Not to mention that it was a miracle that we escaped..."
"What can I say, I'm a lucky guy." Eric shrugged while giving her a smug smile.
"There's no such thing as luck." Fiva seemed depressed all of the sudden.
"Then how do you explain the stat?" Eric asked in reply.
"A trick." Fiva replied. "That's why it's never used."
"I wouldn't say never." Eric smiled at her again.
"Those that use it are idiots then." Fiva now sounded amused, and Eric flinched as he heard the words.
"So what would you consider good stats then?" He asked dryly before waving his information away as it appeared in front of him despite him not wanting it to.
"Look." Five stated before putting down the large fish bone that she'd been gnawing on and crossing the distance between them, closing her eyes when she finally reached him and putting her hand on his head. "Stats."
