<<Rein>>

The wind whispers every time. Calm and comforting as it always been.

The forest I own is known for its unusual atmosphere. The animals that live here are protected by my spell. The area was filled with cold breeze and the trees were overgrown with vines.

A sanctuary cursed for all those men who have bad intentions for this place, while a gift for those who are well-behaved humans with good hearts. Thanks to my sister, the forest is off-limits to humans and are protected by the local government. People traditionally leaves food and offerings for the animals and leaves a note on one of my tree with a wish written in it. I occasionally grant those who are very helpful towards nature. Although others have selfish desires, I just brought upon them curses and bad luck.

In the middle of the forest was my special seed that has grown into a magical tree. It calms anyone who is near it. Purifying the hearts of those it reaches. The trunk was white as silver, the leaves were pink like cotton candy and the fruits were blue-diamond apples that can cure any disease.

I was sent here to protect this place. My duty was to nurture this part of the world while my other sisters would do theirs.

It was just peaceful and soothing when one day, one human broke the law.

*snap*

I heard a sound near my tree. I quickly rushed and hovered myself into one of its branches.

What I saw there was a human figure. He was wearing black clothes. His hair was perfectly groomed. His eyes were dark yet it shines. He was holding a device in his hand called a camera.

I went down and took a closer look and there I felt my chest tightened with anger. Humans kept trespassing this zone.

"Leave this forest" I commanded behind his back.

The human turned around my direction and looked at me in the eyes. And there we stood and stared at each other. My heart tightened but not with rage but with shock and nervousness. My hate faded and new emotion took over me. A feeling of bliss, happiness, and... Adoration

Everything around me was starting to fade. All my sight was focused on him. Time was slowly taking its pace when suddenly someone interrupted the silence.

"Keno!" a female voice shouted. The boy turned around and faced the girl. I took that opportunity to use my invisibility magic.

"Oh! Ali! I was looking for you" his face shined as if he was happy. But then I felt his aura. He was releasing this aura of admiration and so did the girl.

As the girl went near the boy my chest suddenly tightened. My feelings of happiness from earlier turned into hatred and envy. Is this ...jealousy?

I couldn't move away from where I was standing. I was very concerned about him.

"The others are already at the camp. They're very worried about us. We probably should head back right now" said the female human that's been called by the name Ali.

The boy looked at her confused and ask "Why? Can we stay a little longer? This strange-looking tree kind of has a very soothing vibe."

The girl held his arms "This part of the forest is a sanctuary. We shouldn't be seen here. This is an off-limit area, we would be in big trouble if someone found out we set foot in this place"

"What? But what about the girl I saw here?" he turned to my direction "Wait where is she? I could have sworn I saw her here."

"You must have been hallucinating. It's probably someone else trespassing this area just like us."

He looked at her with a concerned look "What if she's lost? We should probably help her."

At that moment my heart fluttered.

He's worried about me.

The girl pulled her by the arms "We don't have time. We need to go now!"

They quickly ran to the other side of the forest. I couldn't resist to follow them.

After an hour of running, they arrived exhausted at a camp that is built away from my forest. One man with a hat came running at the two teenagers.

"Where have you both have gone to?" the man said.

"We were-" the nervous girl was cut by the teenage boy.

"We were just trying to retrieve the food we have given last night because we learned it was bad for the animals." the boy said. I could somehow tell that he's lying judging from his body gestures and his aura.

"Well, I guess that excuse is accepted. Keno, Ali, can I count on you two that this won't happen ever again?" the tall scary man said.

"Yes sir!" they both replied as the tall man left and went to the other adults.

The two teens sighed in relief as they went inside the tavern that was full of young adults. You could hear the loud chatters of the teenagers from outside. They all look like high-school students who are camping in this forest.

Usually, I would just leave because this part of the forest is not my business but I can't help thinking about that boy named Keno.

During that time I was confused about what I was doing so I retreated to my tree. I laid down under the tree as I reflected upon my actions. Wondering what my heart is trying to tell me.

In the end, I let this incident pass and tried to forget about that boy. I'm pretty sure that he would leave this place again just like the others.

I thought that we would only meet once but...

"Hello? Is anybody here?" I stood up and heard a familiar voice. Speaking of the devil.

"Hey, miss! Are you here?" he shouted. I still have my invisibility spell so he probably won't see me.

"If you're here. I could help you if you're lost" he kept looking around the tree.

This time he was bothering the animals so I just used the wind as my voice.

"Leave this forest"

The boy froze and had his eyes filled with terror.

"Rein?" he mumbled
