III. Deceptive Kiss

<<Ali>>

"REIN!" Keno broke free from the crystal and held the mysterious girl in his arms. His tears started coming out from his eyes.

"Please Rein, don't leave me again! Rein!" he kept shouting her name. The girl looked at her with a weak look and then lost consciousness.

I walked towards them "Keno, I-"

"What did you do!" he looked at me with disgust.

"S-she was going to kill you. I did what I was supposed to do" I justified my actions but it didn't get through his anger.

"By what? Killing her? You could have just talked to her! You didn't even gave her a choice" he stood up with the girl in his arms. "We'll talk about this later. But first I need to help her"

We woke one of our asleep instructor and quickly went back to camp. Our schoolmates were shocked to see a girl full of blood in Keno's hands. The teachers rushed to us and tried to give the girl some first aids. Luckily, we were able to save her life or otherwise I probably would be in serious trouble.

They put the girl into the infirmary room. After that the counselors interrogated us somehow I was able to convince them that it was not my fault. Keno told them that the girl was afraid of us so she attacked us out of fear and that I tried to protect him. He didn't tell them about the strange powers the girl possessed.

After the interrogation, we were sent back to the tavern. Keno kept avoiding me and no matter how much I tried to talk to him, he kept brushing me off. I don't know why he's so angry just because of that girl, but maybe they know each other.

"Hey where's Keno?" Lyla asked. My classmates looked at me as of they have the same questions as her.

"I don't know. He said he isn't feeling well" I made an excuse for him.

"Oh well, that's too bad. I guess we'll just have to play without him then" Paul said.

Keno didn't join us during we have some hang-outs, instead he stayed in the infirmary waiting for the girl to wake up. He even asked the counselors for permission to sleep in the infirmary and they allowed it.

I was starting to become suspicious.

At midnight, I snuck out and went to the infirmary. As expected Keno was sleeping on the couch and the girl still hasn't woke up yet. I went near the girl and tried to look for some clues who she was. I peeked at her things that was in the desk. There were a sack of powder, a knife, leaves, and a pink and violet pearl.

As I was going through her stuffs, I heard a ruffling sounds. The girl was awake. I quickly put her things back into the desk and looked at her.

"H-hey are you okay?" I asked.

She looked at me and then tried to stand up.

"No wait. You need to rest. You're not fully recovered yet" I said assisting her on the infirmary bed.

She looked at me and then grabbed my arms tightly. She pulled me by the arms until our face was close. I looked at her shaking knowing this girl in front me is possibly dangerous. She grabbed my face as she leaned in until our lips touched.

I was petrified. I tried to let go but I was starting to feel weak. She just stole my first kiss. No matter how much I tried to push her, I couldn't because my strength was starting to fade. I don't know what's happening to me.

Then later my strength died, I blacked out.

*thump*

I woke up at the sound of something banging into a hard object. I opened my eyes to see a girl lying on the ground and a door opened.

I quickly stood up and went to the floor. It was Ali. I then looked at the bed to find an empty space. I left the room hoping to see where Rein has went to but there was no trace of her. Not even a footsteps in the muddy ground.

I carried Ali into the bed and asked some nurse for some help. Most of the adults here were awake during this time so thankfully I found someone to help Ali. They asked me what happened and I just gave them an answer.

"I don't know..."
