-There's no way. No way.- He protested as Anna kept talking despite his interrumption.

-Will you let me finish--?

-No. She's not going.

-She has gone on missions before, let her make her own choice.- After Anna's words he turned around to see Emma, who was sitting where he previously slept.

-She's not going.- He protested once more.

-Ray!- Emma screamed at him and he faced her again. Anna slowly reached for the door as Emma argued.- It's for the best. You may be able to see again but that doesn't mean you can go.

-I'm going to let you two talk it through... Call me when you've made your choice.- Anna said and left the infirmary in a rush, closing the door behind her. It was too much preasure for her to bear with.

- That's the worst part of the forest. It's not worth it.

-I can take care of the others and myself. If she thinks I'm the best alternative then so be it... The team deserves the best chance of survival they can get and I'm not placing everyone at risk because you don't find it pleasing.- Emma said as she stood up.

Ray stood in his place with his arms crossed, his eyes were filled with anger. Now that his fever was long gone he could defend his argument to it's fullest. He came closer to her as she mimicked his previous stand.

-It's just a medical plant, they can go look for it when I get better. There was never a need to rush the mission, specially with all the beasts in that zone. Tell them to wait for me.- Ray said but she just shoke her head as a response.

He got frustration written all over his face as his hands ran through his hair.

-You won't listen, will you?- He said as he pulled his hair all the way back.

-Indeed.- She said as he kept silent.

He sighed and bit his lip. Emma got closer to him as sweat went down his forehead.

"Her stubborn nature only got worse with time... Can't she understand the danger she will be placed in? Defending that many people... It's too much for one person."

She understood that after all that happened yesterday, he wasn't going to hold his feelings or thoughts back.

She had gone in missions without him previously and all she would get from him before was a "take care" and a hug.

"So this is what you always felt when I left, uh? I'm sorry but that won't stop me from going at all."

She leaned in and planted a kiss on his cheek in an attempt to calm him down which he greated by picking her up and kissing all around her face.

-You're not off medicine yet, don't force yourself that much...-She said as his kisses caused her giggles. He smiled as he kept pecking her cheeks.- It tickles...!

-I'm not feeling weak at all.- Ray stated as he spinned her around in his arms.

-I'm glad that's the case but... you're not going to buy me with kisses.- She said as he placed her on the ground. He patted her head and her eyes sparkled.

-Let me try at least, who knows, I may be able to change your mind.- He smirked as he nuzzled her nose with his.

-It will be easier for you to change your mind rather than mine.-She went to the door and locked it.- You should try though...
