Aberdeen, Washington 1987
September 27th"Meadow, come on! The neighbors are here, and this boy is adorable."
Meadow rolled her eyes knowing that Blair was talking about the "cute boy" from last night. Meadow didn't want to start anything, so she threw on a Breakfast Club shirt and some jean shorts.
As Blair and Meadow both walked down the stairs, Meadow saw a woman and a man and to their right was a somewhat lanky boy with long blond hair.
"This is my sister Meadow. She's nineteen like Kurt too." Immediately the boy looked up and locked eyes with Meadow. She was almost swept off her feet, it felt like the room got colder in a sense.
"Oh sweetheart, it's so nice to meet you! I'm Mari, and this is my husband Clark." The ginger headed woman with round glasses put her hand out for Meadow to shake and she gladly did. "Kurt, don't be so shy. This is our nephew Kurt." Mari gently pushed Kurt towards Meadow.
"Hi." Kurt said. "Hi." Meadow replied. She couldn't describe the feelings she was feeling, but they were extremely powerful. Looking into his eyes was so intense for her, his eyes were a deep teal like color. They were definitely hypnotic.
Blair grabbed Meadow's arm and dragged her away to a little room. "Excuse us." Blair said holding her hand out to Kurt, Mari, and Clark.
"I'm going out with Mari and Clark. It's just to get used to them and just see what they're like." Meadow then snapped knowing that meant she had to be here with Kurt by herself. "Take me with you then, we'll make it a family affair." Meadow said quickly.
"Keep your damn voice down before they get freaked out!" Blair replied back harshly. "You'll be fine, Kurt doesn't bite." Meadow knew that he was totally harmless, she was just scared of screwing up anything before it had the chance to start.
Meadow has a way of coming right out and saying things, it's just word vomit. Her mouth moves too fast for her brain to catch up. At this point she didn't care as much, but with Kurt it's almost as if she needed to present herself well, so maybe he'd like her.
"Fine, but you better be back at a reasonable time. Your curfew is 9:30." Blair looked at Meadow and laughed.
"Oh honey, you're so cute. I'll be home by at least twelve. You can use some money to order food if you and Kurt get hungry." Meadow glared at Blair and stormed back downstairs.
Kurt noticed she looked somewhat angry as she stormed into the kitchen, and he thought about going in there. He went in. He walked in to see Meadow sitting by the sink seeming to be collecting her thoughts.
"You okay?" Meadow jumped up screaming. "Shit Kurt, you scared me."
"I'm sorry. I just wanted to check on you." He said looking instantly sorry for scaring her.
Kurt doesn't like hurting people, in fact he absolutely hates when people cry around him. He's just sensitive, but aren't we all?
"It's fine, I'm okay. I'm just trying to get my head together."
"I get that, I'm here if you wanna talk or something." Kurt said looking down at his jet black pair of converse.
Meadow tried to study Kurt as he just sat there looking down at the marble flooring in Meadow's kitchen. She's usually good at reading people, but for some reason it's almost as if it was impossible for her to do so.
From the top of the stairs, Meadow heard Blair running down the stairs interrupting her basically drooling over Kurt.
"Okay, we're leaving now M, we'll be back around maybe eleven or earlier. If you and Kurt get hungry like I said, use the money I gave you for something. Have fun, but not too much." Blair said smirking. Meadow immediately got nervous due to her being scared of how Kurt would feel.
"Blair." Meadow whined, "Just go, you always embarrass me." Mari, Clark, and Blair all laughed and quickly rushed out the door to meet up with dinner reservations.
Meadow looked up at Kurt and he was red, she knew what that was from, but she wasn't going to bring up what Blair said again. A few moments of silence and she piped up, "So Kurt, what do you wanna do?"
