Aberdeen, Washington 1987
October 2ndMeadow woke up to a throbbing headache and a face full of drawings. She had had too much to drink the night before, and that was her fault, but it felt good to blame it on something else. She looked around and saw Presley sprawled out on the couch with Dave, Shelli lying on top of Krist and Kurt sitting up next to her drooling out the sides of his mouth. She laughed to herself and brought herself to her feet.
Meadow stumbled her way into the upstairs bathroom, desperately looking for Advil and or Tylenol to take away the beating heart in her head. She looked at herself in the mirror and laughed knowing that Presley and Krist had drawn so many things on her face and arms. It didn't bother her, it was some of the best amusement in the world.
She went to open the pill bottle, but she was getting overwhelmed in her throat. The pills scattered all over the floor as she ran to the toilet to clean out all of last nights food and drinks. In the moment it felt good to let everything out, but the acid was getting to be a drone for her.
She heard the faint noise of footsteps coming up the stairs, but she couldn't turn unless she wanted to splatter it on the floor. A somewhat large hand began to rub circles on her back and then hair was taken from the sides of her face. Kurt. She flushed the puke down the toilet and kept hovering over the toilet in hopes that he would leave because she didn't want him to see her.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah." She muttered out.
"You and I both know that's not true, was it just the fact that you were wasted? Do you think you're sick?"
"No Kurt, really I'm fine. It's just the alcohol."
"Here, I'll carry you to my room so you can lay down."
"Unless you're looking to break your back, I can just walk." Meadow slowly brought herself to her feet, but fell right back down. She usually feels drained after vomiting but that's everybody, right?
"Stop being so stubborn." With that Kurt whisked her up and took off to his room. He laid her on the bed slowly and sat in the chair next to her.
"Did Blair come by?"
"Yeah, she asked if you had fun and went back to your house." Meadow laughed to herself at how her older sister only cared about her having fun rather than anything else.
"Shit, she also said you had work today." Meadow's eyes went wide, she completely forgot about Bloom. Tim never told her when her shifts would start, but he did say he would call.
"What time do I have to be there?" Kurt looked puzzled.
"Huh? Oh, she said you should be there at noon. It's only eight, so you're okay." Kurt gave a reassuring smile.
