Aberdeen, Washington 1987
September 29th
It had been two days since Meadow saw Kurt and it felt like she was having withdrawals. How can someone she just met mean so much to her already? After Kurt told her about Ted Ed Fred, she became more infatuated with him. Kurt was mesmerizing to her and that feeling was new to her considering she hadn't had the best luck with guys."Well, aren't you just swimming in an olympic sized pool of your own drool." Meadow looked up to see Blair standing in her doorway with the biggest smirk remotely possible. Meadow quickly got off the floor and launched two pillows at Blair.
"Get out! I'm not drooling, I'm just tired. That's all." "Tired from swooning over Kurt all day." Meadow looked at Blair and rolled her eyes playfully.
"Just leave me alone, I'm completely fine."Blair laughed at Meadow in amazement, she wondered how her younger sister could still be bitter after all the time she spent with Kurt and how happy he seemed to have made her. "Don't be such an ass, apparently you made quite the impression on him as well."
Meadow immediately ran up to Blair, shaking her at the shoulders asking her what she heard. "Well, he said he thinks you're pretty neat and he wants to hang out more often."
Meadow let go of Blair and looked up at her in denial and acceptance. There's no way he would've said those things, but maybe there is she thought. She then began to get annoyed and quickly asked Blair a follow up question, "When did he tell you that stuff?" "He didn't tell me himself, Mari told me this morning while I was getting the mail." Blair ran back down the stairs to finish breakfast leaving Meadow alone on her bed.
Wow, that's all Meadow could think. She didn't think Kurt had felt anything, she thought it was just another day with another girl for him. Kurt was too attractive for Meadow to be one of the only girls in his life, but it was the exact opposite.
Kurt had always felt as if he was ugly and displeasing to look at, but to Meadow it was the opposite. She found him more attractive than anyone she'd met before, for his intelligence and his face and eyes. She wanted everything he had to offer, suddenly there was a ring at the door.
Meadow could hear the door open, and shortly after some muffled conversation. Her name was then called, "Meadow! Kurt's here!" Shit, what? Why is he here, she thought. Meadow wasn't at all upset that he was there, it's just the fact that she hadn't showered or brushed her teeth yet. "Move your ass!" Meadow rolled her eyes in annoyance at Blair and slowly made her way to the top of her stairs to greet Kurt.
It was as if she'd met Kurt for the first time again, the same sparks and feelings she had the day before. There he was, standing with his hands in his pockets long blonde locks, a Sonic Youth shirt and some raggedy jeans. To top it off, he was wearing his signature Chuck Taylors from yesterday. Kurt smiled up at Meadow, "I didn't mean to be here this early, but you free today?"
He had a look as if he was begging for her to say yes and she gladly obliged. "I am free."
