welcome to ep. 1 of breakfast with the Bro-Ganes ;))
First thing in the morning, Lance was shirtless in front of Keith's face. Keith kind of forgot what had happened the night prior, but then it struck him. Lance slept over—Shiro was skeptical, but allowed it. Adam hadn't had a problem, he thought Keith should be free to do what he actually wants. He was turning fifteen in a few days, and a majority of teens like their acquitted freedom.
"Good morning, sleepy head." Lance chuckled, slipping a shirt over his head. Keith groaned, rolling over onto his stomach. "Why'd you open the curtains?" Keith's raspy voice asked. "Because you needed to get your ass up and stop being lazy." Lance flopped back down on top of Keith, his back on Keith's back.
"You do realize you're heavy, right?" Keith rhetorically questioned. Lance scoffed, sliding down and on to the mattress. "Mhm. Uh, you know Pidge called last night. After you fell asleep." Lance stated, his confident voice squeakier than usual.
The tone of Lance's voice caused Keith to look up. He continued to sit up, plopping a pillow behind him. "What'd she say?"
"You probably don't want to hear this, but—Allura called her and Hunk on FaceTime. She rambled on and on and on about me. Ridiculous, right?" Lance scoffed once again, looking to the side.
"I don't really know what this girl wants now. Little does she know, I have a line of girls drooling over me. She can be easily replaced. First come, first serve. . .you know?" Lance smirked slyly.
Keith rubbed his eyes, staring Lance down. "That's a different attitude than the one I saw last night. The one who absolutely loved her. The Lance who said 'she makes me feel so humble' blah, blah, blah. All that straight shit." Lance pouted. "Don't be basis toward your people."
"You are my people, you could be bi for all I know." Keith's eyes widened a bit. He hadn't intended to say that. Lance giggled, "what makes you say that, mullet?" Lance cocked his eyebrow a bit. "You flirted with Rolo and Lotor before. You flirt with me all the time, Lance."
Keith answered back, less groggy then before."That's because you're my favorite person to flirt with." Lance winked playfully. Keith rolled his eyes, attempting to hide hide flustered face. "You know you love it, Keithy-boy. So, stop complaining." Lance jumped off the boy's bed, making his way into the hallway.
Keith stared at the door harshly after it clicked shut. He scrunched his nose up while laughing into his knees. Lance's words kept replaying in his head.
' — because you're my favorite person to flirt with . . .'
This 'something-close-to-love' shit was really getting out of hand.
...
"Morning, Lance." Adam smiled, glancing up from making his infamous 'angry-face' pancakes that looked like Keith.
"Good Morning, Mr. Adam Wright—or sorry, Mr. Shirogane." Lance sat himself down on a stool in the kitchen, watching Shiro exit the bedroom with a mug. "Hey, Lance. How'd you sleep?"
"I didn't do much sleeping." Lance sighed, resting his chin on his hand. Adam and Shiro shared a suspicious glance, then looked to Lance. "Oh! No, no. I was just worried about something — school shit. Keith was peacefully sleeping the whole entire night." Lance smiled warmly, and kind of nervously.
"We get it, Lance. You didn't have sex with my brother-in-law." Adam chuckled, flipping the odd-looking flap jacks.
"Adam!" Shiro scolded, washing the mug he'd brought out from his room. Lance sat there, a bit fazed. Keith waltzed out of his room, in a rarely seen chipper mood.
"Look who dressed up." Lance raised his eyebrows, smiling at the boy. "Mhm, got a date later today." Keith joked. "Oh," Lance
beamed. "That's great! Who's the lucky guy?""Keith Akira Kogane." Adam turned around—a big smile plastered on his face, temporarily forgetting about the pancakes and leaving them in Shiro's hands, slamming his hands on the kitchen table. "Eotteon jonglyuui naljjaibnikka? nongdam hae." [What type of date? You're joking.] Adam skeptically said in Korean, which he'd learned especially for Shiro in college.
"naleul? geojismal? andwae." [Me? Joking? No. Never.] Keith's eyelashes fluttered, showing his sarcasm. Adam narrowed his eyes, sighing and finally smiling. "naneun geuga dangsin saeng-il-e dangsin-eul delyeo gagileul balanda." [I hope he takes you out for your birthday] Adam remarked.
Keith pursed his lips, looking at at Lance.
Lance was always confused when the Shirogane-Kogane family spoke in Korean. It was the cutest thing ever."neoneun gyeolko alji moshanda." [you never know]. Shiro sighed, making a sturdy attempt to flip the pancakes over. "Adam, aedeul-eul naebeolyeodugo paenkeig-eul gajyeowa." [Adam, leave the kid alone and come get your damn pancakes.]
Lance kept to himself, not knowing if they'd continue like this. "Keith." He whispered. Keith turned attention to him once Adam left his sudden place at the table. "What do you want for your birthday?" Lance whispered once again. Keith shrugged. "You don't have to get me anything. We aren't five year olds." Keith smiled assuringly.
"Hm,"
"Oh!" Adam exclaimed.
"Creo que tengo un buen regalo para él, Lance." { I think I have a decent present for him, Lance. } Adam spoke, serving the pancakes to the boys as Shiro and Keith gazed at him.
"¿Es eso así?" { Is that so? } Lance smirked to himself, hazily staring at Keith.
Screw Adam and his trilingual ass.
