2 years later...

"come on pick up the pace! Being to slow can kill you," B yells at a young boy that was running pass her. She looked back at the other kids they all seemed build for this world. They followed orders like little soldiers not questioning what she tells them to do.

A bell rang once, and everybody stopped what they were doing and began making there way over in front of B. She looked at the group of kids that stood in front of her. There was ten of them all but one where ready to be led into a harder level of training.

"You all did well this morning it time for lunch, you're dismissed." B said the kids then walked away all but one stayed behind.

"B? May I have a word?" The kid asked B looked down at him sympathy shot through her. He has only been here for a few days. Ethan found him in a cabin in the middle of woods all by himself eating worms and other bugs he could find. He didn't really speak a lot, and everyone understood why life as it is really hard.

"What is it Liam?"B asks the boy who was around ten or eleven. She stood in front of him making eye contact with him.

"I don't think I built for this. Is there another thing I can do? Like building or making stuff?"He asked his tone was low it reminded her of Ethan two years ago when they first arrived.

"I will see what I can do but this course is very important, but I'll talk to Stella. Now go get lunch."she replied her. Did sympathize with the kids that came through. None of them would ever have it easy in this world. Matt listened nodding his head and then walked off to join the other kids for a meal.

The years that have passed have not been kind they created a super virus that can latch on to people. Mostly people who are really weak and haven't had any source of clean water are more prone to getting the virus then anybody else.

B walked along the Hallway her gun strapped to the side as well as a knife. The hallway was empty, but you could still hear a faint tapping noise coming from a hole in the ceiling. The rain from the night before had found its way in and was dripping onto the floor below.

The hole had been there for as long as B she remembered the same sound coming from the ceiling from her stay on the infirmary. Which was just an office with a twin hospital bed and a few chairs that have been found in other part of the college.

She continued walking down the long stretch coming across no one. At lunch and dinner there was nobody in the halls. It now became a quite place for B to think.

The sunlit hallways guided their way around the campus leading to various sections of the university. The college no long held enough power to light the whole building instead the only room that held power was the cafeteria and medicine room. The others where cut off do to the generator running out of energy very slowly.

She came to a stop at the end of the hallway a room that was unmarked is now being she called her room and inside she was lucky to have a old couch to lay on. The room was fairly small, but it was privacy for her. And that counted in This day and age.

She sat down on the small couch and took her gun out examining it. She checks to make sure she had bullets then closed the chamber back catching her reflection in the shiny casting of the gun.

The reflection looked back at her reflecting her eyes. Her brown eye should have just disappeared because they are so dark but instead of both barley having a reflection, one showing brightly a dingy blue shone back at her.
She put the gun back into her holster in anger of her deformity. She hated that she looked like this all because she was scared.

"What did I do?" B asks her self. getting up and making her way to the cafeteria to catch lunch. She walked back down the empty hallway her mind still churning about the past.

Why do we all sleep on the floor? And not the beds," B asks Stella as they walked down the hall way.

"We only have about four or five of them we found them in the basement near old medical stuff in guessing they used them ins nursing program." Stella replied as B adjusted her bandage over her eye.

"My eye better be better by now I miss using it," B chuckled as they walked into the room where Dr.Adams was waiting.

"Hey! Are you ready?" Dr. Adams said her voice high pitched in excitement. She walked over to B guiding her over to the chair she just sat at and looked over at B the smile still hanging from her lips.

"Ready as I'll ever be," B replied giving in to a smile herself. B could feel as the wrap was being undone the feeling of relief washed over her. She felt gratitude for this place now and not even a few weeks before she wanted to burn it down.

B slowly opened her eye the light in the room almost blinding her but the feeling of not being able to see went away and was replaced by full eyesight after a few blinks.

"Oh my!" Dr. Adams took a step back and looked over at Stella who had her hand over her mouth.

"what? What's wrong?"She looked at the Doctor and at Stella both had the look of shock written in there faces."What's wrong I can see fine," her thoughts quieted her to think that they believed her eye was still in bad shape.

" B your eye is like mine now," Stella replied as she pointed over to a wall where a small picture of a flower hung on the wall. B got up and looked at her reflection from the glass and saw a her usually brown eye accompanied by a new glazed over blue eye.

"B? Are you okay?"She was pulled from her thoughts and brought back to reality. She looked up and was eye to eye with Mason who had a look of worry on his face.

"Yea just zoned out," she gave a smile and looked back at him the look of worry on his face didn't go away but instead remain making her uneasy.

"Okay, well, you better go get something to eat before lunch is over. Do you have another class today?" He replied as they began walking towards the cafeteria.

"I don't. I just finished off my last class, have you heard anything from Stella or Ethan?"She asked still worried to where they were. They have been gone for a couple of months.

"Sorry I haven't seen them." He answered looking down at the ground. The only people that remained in the Original group that was still at camp was B, Mason, and Marty,"

They have never found Philip after he ran into the wood that day. B believed that he was still alive everyone in while she gets this feeling that he's around. He was so angry when he left she feared that he might come back for revenge.

The last two years have been so hard on B she was now in charge of teaching self-defense classes while carriage the responsibility that you automatically got when the end of the world happened.

They got to the cafeteria the room was almost empty now. She sat down at one of the tables while Mason went and grabbed food from the cook up front.
She hated these walls that she stuck in so to Stella leaving. B now had way more on her plate then she could handle at times.

Philip could still be out there surviving some how. Stella took off but at least she gave a little warning before hand but she could have done it at a better time instead of when everything was chaotic. And it didn't help that within a few days Ethan was gone to in hunt of where Stella had gone.

He went in the dead of night with nothing. Not even a note tells B where he was going she only knew because he let it slip to Marty right before spirting off after Stella. He was now older and wiser more of a tracker then a killer. He learn a lot from Marty while here Ethan was smart but he wasn't doesn't have what it takes to survive in this world. That what B thinks anyways.

*Flashback*

Two years ago

"Here B take these it will help with the pain," Mason said as he handed her two pills that Marty had found in an old abandon car.

"Thank you," B sat up and stuck out of an old cup that was beside her. The wrap that covered her eye was becoming loose. She no longer needed it but the thought that she now carries a live stream of the virus scared her.

Her now glazed eye saw things just as well as her regular brown one,but it did pick up things better in the dark then her other one.

"I'm sorry this happened to you. How are you feeling?" He asked looking down at the bed that she laid on. She hated being treated like a kid but she never said anything.

"I'm fine. Any news on Philip?" She changed the subject. Marty, Mason, and Ethan spent most of there time outside looking for Philip since he disappeared but the only thing that they have found of him is the knife he was carrying at the time.

"No he just seem to have vanished the trail just running clean but we're going back out today to see if he found his way into some old building." He didn't sound as positive as he usually does before he goes out but B managed to give him a smile before replying.

"You'll find him!" She put her hand over his m. Over the pass few days he had humbled out and wasn't as strict as he had once been.

"Of course," he took his hand back but not before returning the smile and walking out of the room. B honestly felt bad for the man. Just imagine losing two sons in the same day only hours apart.

She didn't believe he was still alive the world was easy to cruel to let anybody survive without a weapon. Even if they were skilled at weaseling there self out of sticky situations.

"I have a question for you!" Ethan walked in to the room his eyes full of a light that she had never seen before." He skips over to her and sits down on the chair to her right.

"Yeah? What is it?" She looked at him her gaze meeting his." She knew it had to be good new from the way his eyes shown brightly.

"Are you feel way better? Like if you had to fight, would you?" He questioned making B completely confused to what was going on.

"I suppose so. Why?" She squinted her eyes not sure where he was coming at then at one everything seemed to click at once. She jump out of her best pulling the covers to the ground as she did so.

"Well congrats! You get to run the defense classes for a few days!" He replied, but it had already referred to in her brain. She looked at him square in the eyes then sat sat down on the edge of the bed. The light in his eyes to dim as he looked at B.

"Where's Stella?" She asked any trace of excitement from his face disappeared and was replaced with confusion.

"She's gone. Did she not tell you?" He answered his eyebrows punched together and his voice questioned her.

What do you mean she's gone?" B asked confused she knew she was leaving but not now! Not when everything was just coming together. How was she suppose to teach the classes.

"Exactly what it sounds like, she gone. Left." Ethan replied. B looked out the window at her waiting students and then back at Ethan. Is this why Stella taught her how to fight? Was it so she could run off and leave everything to B?

"Did she leave a note or say anything?" B asked still confused to why she would get up and leave out of nowhere.

"No...well she did say something about finding her father, something like that," he said all of this slowly which Made B even more frustrated at this situation. She remembered the conversation with Stella a few days ago but she thought she had more time

"What a bitch!" She exclaimed she looked at Ethan and could tell that this was not only known new but he had something up his sleave.

"I'm going after her, she can't be out there alone she need someone to help her," he replied not looking ashamed at himself.

"Ethan..." She begins, but they both knew he had already made up his mind and there was no stopping him. Ethan began walking out before turning. He made his way over to her and pulled out an evoalope from his jacket pocket and handed to B. The paper was a little crinkly and dirty but she took it looking at Ethan in a curious manner.

"If I don't come back then open this." Then with that the air fell silent, as he looked at B. He cared so much for her as she did he. Then with a quick movement he left the room leaving B all alone.
