I decided that I wouldn't bring my phone because my parents could call me or maybe even track me so I destroyed it. I never liked it anyway. I only used it to call people, not even that often. I wasn't a fan of things like social media. I didn't really have any regrets when I smashed it on the floor. I kinda just left it there, perhaps so my parents would get the hint.
I also broke my piggy bank to see whatever money I had left. It actually suprised me how much I had there. I was a little taken back. I had about forty quid. That would get me by a couple of days. I put the money in a wallet along with my gym card and my library card. I thought they'd be useful because the gym could be an opportunity to freshen up and shower and the library, if I had a card then I could use the computers so that could be useful. I put the wallet in my pocket along with my trusty swiss army knife because it could come in handy.
I guess I'm all packed up then and ready to go. I'm ready to go and never come back. Wow, this is actually happening. Almost like it doesn't seem real. Well then, here goes nothing.
I undid the latch to my window, lifted it up and climbed out, leaving the window wide open. It was just a little jump down into the garden and all it did was make my feet hurt a little from colliding onto the brick patio. I paused. The double doors illuminated in a warm glow. Yet I saw no one inside, nor did I hear anyone. I crept across the dark grass that shined in the moonlight from the dew that laid lazily on it. I had a bit of a limp on my left leg from the fall but it was nothing to worry about. If I could just hop over the fence then I would be out of here.
