We all needed a little pick me up, so I suggested we spend the night at the bar. But we were bored of the same bar downstairs that we spend all our time at. No, why don't we change it, mix it up a bit.
"Yes, but what bar?" Bella suggested. I said, "Let's not be too hasty. Why pick a bar? Let's just go out and see." So we all left and wandered the streets. Some would've called us hooligans by the way we were acting. Like we were drunken teenagers. Not yet. This bar was one that Peter suggested, so as you could tell I was a bit hasty of going there. But when I got in it was so...Peter. Like really classy but sexy too. Oh yeah, this was gonna be a night.
So we ordered our drinks and sat down and talked for a while. Then not long after the bartender left he came back but this time with a drink in his hand."For the lovely lady." He said, placing it down next to Bella, "From table 9. It's a vodka with cranberry juice." Bella got all flustered. She went as red as throbbing heart. Not the usual 'Bella chill' demeanor which I always see. This Bella was fiddling at the sides of her drink mumbling about how all the components of it are her favourite something.
It's fair to say all of us were leaping out of our seats. Knowing us we would. Peter was of course being the loudest. He usually is but the volume was way higher. Lauren was getting almost as flustered as Bella, even Rose cared. The whole table was silent for a few moments, ad we were properly assessing the situation. Then we all burst out nattering.
"Oh my God you have to wave to that table now, Bella! Do it girl!" Peter sung.
"Oooh I don't know..." Bella murmured.
"Yeah, give them a really big smile so it's like your excepting the drink." Lauren nattered.
"But they might think I'm being creepy."
"Why don't you just hoot or whistle or something?" Rose suggested.
"Really? It's not too rude?"
I just laughed at all their responses, throwing the table into silence again. Granted, my laugh is quite loud and hysterical.
"Bella, I think if some girl at a bar brought you a drink for free she might want to have something to do with you. Table 9, right? Look the only girl there is that short haired redhead. She's kinda good looking, isn't she? Maybe you should go over there and talk to her?"
Bella squirmed in her seat, "But what if she thinks I'm weird by doing that?"
"You can just start small. Thank her for the drink, there you go."
Bella looked at me with her hard brown eyes. She took a deep breath, taking in a huge gulp of air. Then she stood up from the table, the confidence leaking off her, taking a swig of her drink before she walked off. Her shoulders arched high as she stomped away.
Peter tapped my arm, "You don't think that girl roofied Bella's drink, do you?" He whispered.
"Yeah, I didn't consider that."
Lauren picked it up and dropped it on the floor, peeping a little 'Oh no' as it smashed. Rose began laughing. I gasped at Lauren's bold move. She had been coming out of her shell more and making braver moves when I'm next to her. That's what good friends are for, I guess.
Bella could literally feel the sweat dripping down her back. Her head was getting lighter with every step she took and all her limbs were becoming unfeeling and felt as if they were completely disconnected from her body. She knew what was happening, it was what she called 'love anxiety'. When you meet your potential crush for the first time. This was happening to her, she could definitely feel the anxiety.
This was it. She took another quickened breath and stopped next to the redhead's table of friends.
"Hello," Bella stuttered, to the girl, "I just popped by to thank you for buying me that lovely drink over there."
"'Popped by?' 'Lovely?' What the fuck am I on about? C'mon get it together Bella. You've done like tons of brave things and this is what scares you? A girl who might like you? Just be cool." Her head screamed at her.
"Hm?" Replied the redhead as Bella's soul crushed a bit more, "Oh that wasn't me who sent you the drink sweetie. That was Kyle."
