The room was dark, the only source of light coming from the roaring fireplace, to which we were all sitting around, in comfy, pompous chairs, that were unsurprisingly comfortable.

It was already late out, at least, that's what I got from looking through the windows as Adrian lead us into his private study.

I'm not sure how the time here correlated with my time, but I was already starting to feel the evening wearing on my as my shoulders slumped.

Glancing nervously at the room, which was far more interesting than looking at my hands, I noted that this same study was the one Adrian had shown me from his memories, and that, a few feet away was the same book shelf and chair where he and his father were talking.

It was odd how the room was in much sharper focus than it had previously when I 'saw' it, and I'd like to let my mind wander on it for a little, but from the pointed cough of the immortal night terror that was Damien, and the curious stares that Adrian attempted to hide, I sighed through my nose.

Sitting up a bit straighter I looked between the two men, sitting opposite me.

Adrian had wanted to sit next to me, but I couldn't let him. As much as a comfort as he was, I didn't want to use his calming presence as a crutch. I needed to be strong right now, and I needed to start channeling some of the old Violet again.

"Uh, so, you're probably wondering what I needed to say huh?" I start off nervously.

Way to go Vee! Way to start off the conversation! Maybe if you stutter more, that might help?

My own mind chastised me, but it didn't compare to the snort I exacted from Damien.

Leaning back in his own chair, he brought up one hand gracefully to massage his temples, while staring at me with a raised brow.

"No, Deary, I came for some tea and biscuits, and to discuss the weather, " he waved a hand through the air dramatically, causing me to blush slightly from embarrassment.

Adrian gave Damien a sharp look, one which he ignored, his eyes boring into me.

I think I need to tone down on the 'Violet' settings.

Clearing my throat, I tried again.

"I guess there's really no use dancing around it any longer, especially if it means people could be in danger," the impact of my words made Adrian's curiosity spike visibly, and a strange prickling sense along my neck, most likely due to the bond, affirmed just as much.

A pulling sensation inside me began to tighten, and my throat began to burn, almost as if not wanting me to say anything. The feeling I sensed, had something to do with the little parasite in my soul.

The buzzing sensation that had nearly overtaken me earlier had not faded, but I stormed through it, much to Adrian's dismay.

The only reason he allowed me to continue speaking and not demand I be put on bed rest was on the one condition that should I feel any worse, he had permission to...'help' what ever that meant.

These feelings only encouraged me to continue, because who knew how long I had before I'd be silenced?

"Ever since I landed here, nothing has been quite the same with me," Adrian's brow quirked, and Damien continued to scrutinize me through lowered lashes, and brooding brows.

"From being kidnapped, roughed up, and tossed into royalty, things have been kinda hectic for me, and to make things worse, there's a stupid Yoda snake stuck in my head, who sounds like he's part of the dark side. His name, as he once told me in my unconsciousness, is Nicoli." I held up my wrist, ready to continue on with what happened but Damien stood up with such an unnatural speed, I felt dizzy at the sudden sight of him.

It could also be the sudden sickness that's growing on me with every passing minute, too, but I think the wild eyed Vamp before me is to blame for my latest symptom.

Kneeling by my seat and examining my eyes and wrist with such intensity, Damien's eyes flickered especially with an unknown emotion at the sight of the intricate wing-like markings.

Adrian was also at my side in an instant, growling at the sudden speed of things, and here I was, trapped between the two, a human girl, chatting with a bunch of myths, who were, actually not myths, but rather, living beings who were just as overwhelming as one could imagine.

Sigh, could the world just go back to being simpler?

"And you hid this for how long?!" Damien bared his teeth, fury rippling off him.

Why was he so upset? How was I supposed to know whether to trust him or not? I barely knew him!

Adrian's body hummed with a protective intensity, his hand grabbing Damien's to release mine.

This is a really, really bad place to leave off on, trust me, I know, but I realized how long it's been since I updated and I wanted to put out something now.

Worry not, the next update is on it's way.

Sorry for the wait, I've been a bit busy with intense testing, long traveling, and illness, but now that I'm back on my feet, I hope to continue my work here.

SMILES and CHEERS!!!
