Silently facing the hazy and soaked window, an eight-year old girl stood near the window sill as she blankly watches the view outdoors.

The skies above were dark and were pouring hard. The wind were blowing strong gusts that it can send an umbrella flying. The streets and pavements where she and her father would take long soothing strolls, were now abandoned and deserted instead of being crowded by the common neighborhood during this hour. They were also very wet and slippery, and a bunch of muddy puddles were decorating them.

Minutes of staring off into nothing but the melancholy scenery outside, a very familiar deep voice called her name.

"Lalisa."

The girl known as Lalisa, slowly turned around to see who was the person who called her name. And once she did, her sight landed at her uncle who stood in a tall and strong manner, making the girl to uncontrollably shiver upon meeting his piercing gaze.

But deep within that stoic look he bears, her uncle was secretly suffering in great pain and was in the state of mourning. The man was just concealing it to somehow prevent his clueless niece from knowing the situation they were experiencing.

"Yes, uncle?" The girl meekly questioned.

The man heaved a deep breath first before speaking, "Your father wishes to see you, dear." As the words left his mouth, the girl's ears perked up.

"Father wishes to see me?" She repeated, assuring if what she heard was true.

Joon-Woo can't help but to grin with his niece's reaction. He can easily read Lalisa's emotions like a book. With a smile formed in her lips and the twinkle erupting in her eyes meant that she was excited and happy.

In response to her query, he slowly nodded his head. "Yes. He said he wanted to see his little angel's face." 'For one last time.' He says, keeping the final sentence to himself instead voicing it out loud.

Lalisa cannot help the upward tilt of both of her lips in so much delight. And as she was so eager to finally see her father, she quickly held her uncle's stretched hand with her tiny ones.

For months, Lalisa didn't had the opportunity to meet her father for some unknown reason. It all started when his father had a cough. They disregard it at first, but they all became alarmed when he started to cough vehemently with red fluid accompanying his phlegm. And those were just the things she remembered before her uncle told her that she wouldn't be able to see her father for quite some time. To which she still cannot figure out as to why.

After walking through the halls of their vintage house, they finally arrived at her father's chambers. A small creek was then created when her uncle opened the varnished doors. Peeking from the small opening made on the entrance, Lalisa saw her father's figure laying on his bed.

She entered the room with careful steps and roamed her innocent hazel orbs around the place. She also took noticed that there were two more people inside-a doctor and a nurse base on their appearance-who were both standing at the edge of the bed. She then averted her gaze back from her father and thoroughly observed him.

He was laying there at his bed, his breathing in a slow and steady pace. And to what she presume, he was in the middle of sleeping. Not wanting to disturb his serenity, she tried and succeeded on climbing the soft mattress with such caution, and there she sat and gawked at her slumbering father.
