The castle corridors was taciturn and empty. It was so still and mute that it resulted for every little sound in them to resonate and would be easily identified and heard.
With that being said, it caused the soft sniffles of a certain maiden to echo through the vast halls.
Lisa, was that certain maiden. Who happens to still weep on her earlier and rough encounter with the Second Prince. Her dam of tears ceased a while ago, yet the gloomy and sniffing side of her didn't fade and stayed as she promenaded through the castle.
'Would you stop crying already!' She mentally ranted, enraged with her sniffling. 'People might witness you and mistaken me as a crazy person!' She even added.
Yet contrary to her pleas on stopping, another batch of tears opened. And the more she complained and commanded herself to stop, her crying fit got even more worse than her last, irritating her to the very core.
But she clearly knew the reason why it didn't stop. For every time she would finally cease, a tiny and cold voice in her mind will utter the harsh words she heard from his vile mouth.
'Are you blind? Are you a retard?'
A tear then suddenly fell from her left eye.
'What? You're gonna cry? Continuing your innocent facade?'
And another one, except a whimper followed.
'I look forward on to our wedding day, Ms. Lalisa Manoban. Because from then on, expect your life to become a daily hell.'
Out of the blue, Lisa felt her corpulent cheeks getting saturated. And for that she concluded to just close her lids, not bothering to reopen them, for she guessed that she was yet again weeping. Weeping like the little weak girl she truly is, and that irked her dearly.
It took Lisa minutes, minutes to endure the tears freely falling from her eyes like a cascading waterfall. And as much as she wants to wipe them, she has found it futile for surely another one would seep out from her puffy optics. So with a heavy heart, she let them drop, consoling herself that it would soon cease before she even knows it.
As she was still slightly closing her lids shut, Lisa sauntered around like a blind yet mindful person on the palace. Only opening them if necessary. A person without a care into the world.
Yet as she let her feet bring her to basically anywhere, she accidentally felt something caress her face. It was cold yet it brought tranquil into her distressed self like a hushing lullaby. She could even smell an ambrosial fragrance fusing with the air she was intaking.
Her new surroundings made her eyebrows furrow on bewilderment. Just since when did the castle halls had such a cooling summer breeze and a heaven like scent?
Reluctantly, Lisa decided to crack her eyes open. Doing so, her puffy orbs dilated with the sight she perceived.
It was the magical garden she was admiring from afar.
