Today's the day.

The awaited event has finally come, and there's no stopping it anymore. None can delay it nor make time slower, for everything has been already fixed and glued in their own places. And even if you tried, your efforts will all become futile and the results it'll spring will be rather disappointing.

So when the golden and azure hue of the morning skies replaced the pitch starry tincture, the first ring from the cathedral bells ensued. People, from either the palace or not, didn't dwindle any more time and began the preparations to be done rapidly. Starting from their gifts and the garments they'll wear.

6 in the morning and every nook and cranny of the castle's corridors and rooms were brimming with frenzy maids and staffs. All were engrossed with the final decorations and touches that needed to be added or to be renewed to make the whole place impeccable beyond anyone's expectation. Everything must be flawless so no one dared nor bothered conversing with one another as all were too absorbed in their assigned task.

6 in the morning, and the maids appointed to tend and groom the two necessary people of the event began to travel towards their chambers. Inside of each room, both of the person inside were equally immersed as the others. Both were intensely drowning in their own streams, pondering the day that will occur soon. Sooner than they can imagine.

"My Lady, today's the day. Time for you to get ready." A knock resonated, the maid's tone cheery and...strained.

Instead of answering, Lisa closed her eyes and grimaced at the maid's sentence. Infuriated as it repeated in her head like a broken record she couldn't easily erase from her memory.

'Today's the day'

'Today's the day'

Right, the awaited ceremony has arrived. Much to the maiden's disappointment.

Another thump from the door again echoed. "My Lady, have you already awaken?"

Not wanting to make the maid outside worry, Lisa replied in a shaky manner. "C-Come in."

Peeking her head in the small opening she made, Chaeyoung scanned the room and saw a petite figure posted in the bed. Upon seeing her arisen frame, the maid forced a beam from her lips before taking the leap to do her job.

"Good morning, My Lady. Why, you have awaken so early. And all by yourself might I add. Mind telling me the reason why?" For starters, Chaeyoung tested the waters.

Perceiving her delicate voice, Lisa tried to return the favor. "My body's...had enough rest, I guess?" Well, her attempt was not enough.

The merry smile once plastered in Chaeyoung's lips slowly vanished into a grim line, not predicting her bland and vague answer. Her once joyous mood converting to gloom as she solely witnessed the blonde's struggle maintaining a collected posture when she is truly perturbed with the entire situation.

Instead of letting the sullen vibe merge in to her system, Chaeyoung shook her head and contoured her dismal frown into a smile once more. It is undoubtedly the most tragic day for her, but Chaeyoung knows for a fact that the blonde maiden is receiving twice the impact of the harsh blow given by reality. And for that, she is willing to sacrifice and offer a shoulder for that certain person to cry on in order to have one less person sulking in this day. If it means the reward she'll earn is Lalisa's once bright attitude.

So with a small tap from Lisa's shoulder, Chaeyoung figured it is best to fake a delighted mien. "So, are you ready to prepare for your special day, My Lady?"
