Forever Siblings; come what may..

Chapter Eleven

Allie's POV

Am exhausted as hell, as I head to my room. At the door, I kiss Coy goodnight and lock my door after me. When my body touches the mattress, I sink in too deep to even manage to cover myself.

Rene cries out from the corner of a dark room...Ted is forcing his way into her...she calls out my name but my vocals are dry, no voice comes out. She cries again and this time loudly. I try standing up from the foot of the stairs but my legs are too heavy for me to lift them. Shit! Then all of a sudden, Oris appears and digs a sharp sword into Ted's chest. A shrieking cry comes out of his throat and before I know it, Ted lifts both his hands up and deep black smoke starts coming out of them. Man, I am freaked out. Oris lifts Rene but she resists. Her eyes are fixed on Ted, you would think he is a stranger to her. Just then, one thing leads to another and before I can connect everything in order, Oris shoots Coy on the head. Damn it, I snap out of the torturous dream, all sweaty.

My lights are still on. They help me calm down faster. What a fucked up dream that was! Maybe I should check on Coy, something might be happening to Rene. We need to look for her.

Coy's door is open and he is nowhere  inside. His bed is still well made- he didn't sleep at all after we parted. I pace up and down trying to think right- in the dream Oris has shot Coy in the head- and Coy isn't in his room. Complications!

I wake Elex up and tell him everything. If we don't hurry up, shit might happen. Coy is so mad and he might push Oris to the wall. We all know that Oris will act out of impulse and might even kill him. Suppose he does, then he will kill himself out of the guilt, that is if I don't deal with him first.

Our car is still parked behind our house. I get behind the wheel as Elex sits shotgun. The temperatures inside the car are high with tension. Elex tries calling Coy but the call goes anaswered. When he calls Oris, his phone is off. Where did we go wrong?

The speedometer reads 140 and I still want it faster. We are crawling I swear. I hit it hard and we literally fly.

"Shit!" Elex curses. "We shall die before we even get there." Oh please. That can never happen with me. I have driven worse than this, he needs to have seen me when I drove Coy to the hospital after he contracted some infection that almost killed him.

"What if..." I start but trail off. I can't bring myself to say the words 'kill each other'. They surely won't. They are better than that, that would be too low of them.

"You are afraid to say it, I know. But I have been thinking of it too. What if they harm each other, or even one of them kills the other? What would you do?" Elex asks, emphasizing on the last question.

"Fuck that, I would die too." I mean this. They just can't...

"Well, I would just shoot whoever kills the other, then burry them together. We are the forever siblings, you know." That's not so him, it sounds Like Oris is saying that.

"Be careful sister, that's a sharp corner." He warns.

"I told you to always relax when am the one on the wheel. Anyway, here we are." I announce.

Elex jumps out of the car before I even bring it to a still stop. By the time I get out, he's at the gate knocking. The gateman is breathing hard and there is an hint of fear in his eyes.

"Whats happening?" Elex asks him. I don't get to wait for the response to come before I shove my way inside the house.

I can hear the heated confrontations from the living room. Coy dares him to shoot and huh, he's dangerously daring. I am racing up the stairs and can hear Oris count one, two,... Before he hits three, Elex beats me in the race and swiftly knocks the door open. Then everything goes still  after a not-too-loud gun shot fills the room. It has happened.

Blood boils inside me and I seriously want to murder someone for being stupid. My sight goes blurry for a moment, adrenaline takes the best of me. I am shaking hard and breathing shakily to the effect. Then, I decide on deeply inhaling the bloody smell and it's all clear, not rusty. 

When I regain control of myself, Elex is standing next to Coy, technically separating the two bulls. In his hand is a gun. He's swinging it playfully, his eyes held on his idol brother. It's so unfortunate that he has Oris for a role model and not Coy.

Oris throws his gun down on the bed and he's trying to cover his face with one hand as the other flies in the air. "Fuck!" He curses at no one in particular.

"Who shot who?" I ask, confused at the confused scene.

"Nobody. I just fired right in the air because Oris was almost firing." Elex explains calmly, you would even think he's not in the midst of this chaos.

"Guess what brothers! If this back and forth keeps repeating itself, someday we might not be close to help and ..." Elex seems lost of words. He, lost of words? Never. He's so young but, the most creepy when it comes to finding his way with words.

"Where is she?" Coy asks. She's somewhere of course practicing her magic, if at all that is what it is.

"We shall find her." It's Oris who responds to Coy. Really now? Few minutes ago death was lurking in between the two of them and now they want to pretend as if it never happened. 

"I might want to kill you but..." Coy tells Oris, with a sick smile. The way my brother smiles is heavenly.
"Don't worry, the feeling is mutual. Let me guess what is after the but is about the vow, isnt it?" Oris forces a smile through his lips. He really is doing good, he rarely smiles. Coy's eyes fill up with light as he nods to him.

"Where's your protective bracelets?" I have started believing in Rene's Charms.
"Here!" Coy showcases his on the wrist.
"See, no wonder I couldn't fire up without delay." Oris teases. "And you almost killed me because I left the shit at your place on the couch." He adds. It's so good hearing him admit to have received good blows from Coy. I knew my kid brother never disappoints.

"How do we go about it? About finding Rene and...Ted of course." Elex asks. His is a genuine concern.

"I will do it my way. Remember, we are bound together by the vow! She will fight for me just as I will fight for her. Wait and I will get her back." Oris says. His voice tells me that he would rather go do some shit to get her fighting for him. What will he do to get her attention this time?

As if reading my mind, he responds."I am finding father, with or without you. Rene is a loyal sibling."
