After our laughing outburst about Masons dumbass texts, Jay called an Uber and I texted Jaren that we were on our way back.

In the Uber, the driver let us use the aux cord. He said he didn't really care what we played, so naturally, Jay and I rocked out to throwbacks the whole ride back to the Air bnb.

After our arrival back, lets just say Mason was not happy about not receiving a bagel. In the end, we both promised him we would make it up to him. He shut up after that.

Mason was the only one Jay and I met when we walked in the door. He informed us that almost all the other boys got bored waiting around for us, so they all went out for a late lunch.

I began to walk up to Jaren and I's room after Jay and Mason had gone off to play Fortnite. I opened the door and was surprisingly greeted with Jaren laying on the bed, staring at his phone. As soon as I walked in, his eyes darted to mine and he stood up abruptly.

"Hey.." I smiled softly at him as I set down my bags and took a seat on the bed. "Don't hey me Charlotte. Where on Earth have you been? You have been gone for over 5 hours." He was staring directly at me. I could tell he wasn't mad, he was just concerned. I sighed.

"I'm really sorry I didn't call you earlier J. After breakfast, Jay and I decided to walk around for a bit and we got caught up with all of these shops and my phone was on si-" Jaren stood there quietly as I rambled on about how I was sorry about being M.I.A all day.

I went on for a few more seconds before shutting down my very long un on sentence. Jaren then sat down next to me and wrapped his arm around me.

"You know i'm sorry." I leaned my head on his shoulder as he turned his head at looked down at me with a little smile on his face.

"I know. I sounded quiet insane. I'm sorry for over reacting like a little bitch." We both gave a slight laugh as we layed there for a few more minutes.

"Oh! I forgot." I shot up from my spot on the bed and snatched a bag off the floor. I leaped back to Jaren and handed him the small bag.

"Here. I saw this and I thought you'd like it." He gave me a look as he opened the bag. His eyes lit up as he pulled out a box that read "Movado" on the top.

"Charlotte, this was probably so expensive." I shrugged as he opened up the box. I had gotten him a brand new watch, since he had lost his old one. Not really sure how he lost it. It just kind of happened.

"Try it on!" I sat next to him as he stared down at the box in shock. "I can't accept this." He whispered as he took the watch out of the box. I rolled my eyes a reached for the watch. I grabbed it from his hands.

"Hold out your wrist." He smiled at me and did what I told him. I snapped the watch on his wrist and looked up at him. I could tell he definitely liked it.

"There! It fits you perfect." He admired the watch as I started to get up from the bed.

"Why did you get this for me Charlotte?" His eyes screamed confusion and I had to hold in a laugh. "Because...I love you!" I smiled very cheekily at him and he only returned my smile with a contempt look.

"Think of it as a thank you gift." He now turned even more confused. "A thank you for what?" He laughed nervously, glancing down at the watch and then back up at me.

"For dragging me on this trip. He you never forced me, I would have never met these amazing boys." I smiled at him and stood by the door like an idiot.

"You really like them?" I sighed. "I really do Jaren." He then stood up and walked over to me. He only stood a few inches away by the time he stopped walking.

"Thank you for being my annoying best friend." I whispered to him he pulled me into a tight hug.

"I could say the same to you, Charlotte."

sorry for the really short filler chapter. i needed to fill in the space before the next chapter, and this was the easiest way how lol. i promise the next few chapters are going to be bangers
