Tell-Tail

Chapter 10

My pack sat down around the table and ate while the Cullen's looked at us. When I first put some of the food Esme made in my mouth, I let out a moan of contentment. "This is some of the best cooking I have ever had." I said to Esme.

Esme smiled at me and I smelt jealousy coming off of Derek and Peter. I turned to them and said, "I said, 'some of the best food I have ever had.'" I turned back to the Cullen's and asked, "When are we going to hear your story?"

"What would you like to know?" Carlisle asked. "What are you?" Derek asked. "We are vampires." Carlisle said. That made us freeze. "Son of a Bitch!" Peter yelled. "Peter!" I snarled and my eyes flashed ruby red.

"You heard them, Amara. They're vampires." Peter said as he turned to me fully transformed. My canines extended and I felt my nails grow longer. I let myself fully transform. Derek and Aiden were by my side transformed and snarling at Peter.

Peter lunged at me from across the table. The force that he hit me with sent me through the glass wall that was behind me. I let out a scream of pain as Peter threw me into a tree. I felt blood pour from the glass cuts that I had gained.

The Cullen family ran out the hole with the rest of my pack on their heels. Jasper's eyes widened when he saw my blood. Peter grabbed my leg and threw me into another tree. A branch went through my shoulder and I let out a roar of pain.

Derek and Aiden ran forward and attacked Peter. Carlisle ran to my side and put pressure on my wound. I ignored him and used my good arm to push myself up. I was still morphed and I let out an ear-splitting roar.

I launched myself at Peter and threw him to the ground. I roared at him when he tried to get back up to his feet. "Submit!" I roared at him. Peter fell to his knees and his eyes turned ice blue. His whole posture showed that he was submitting.

"Take him back to the house, Derek." I said as I collapsed in pain. Aiden ran over to my side as my vision faded in and out. "Stay with me. Don't you dare close your eyes." Aiden said as he grabbed my hand. I felt him pull my pain. My vision faded and I fell into blackness.
