V. The Past

Nam Joon is in his office, sitting down on his own swivel chair as if contemplating about something.

It was actually late at night and all the others workers already went home except him and his secretary.

"CEO nim?" He heard Mr. Kang's voice from the outside.

"Come in please." Nam Joon said

Mr. Kang entered his office and sat down across him.

"Is there something bothering you?" Mr. Kang asked him.

"Nothing. I just want you to do more background check on this girl, Jisoo."

"Ah, the one who you'll hire as a servant? But why?"

"I just wanted to know more about her.. She seems fascinating and it feels like I've known her before."

"Arrasseo.. then..I must get going, I still have to go home." Mr. Kang stood up, bowed down, and then left.

"Be careful Mr.Kang." Nam Joon told him.

He once again stared unto space as if contemplating.

Meanwhile at Jisoo's bedroom....

Jisoo was sitting in her bed, she then took something out from her drawer.

It was a small brown box with pearls and ribbons as designs.

She opened it, and there she found a picture.

How I miss those times....She thought.

-FLASHBACK-

(monitor beeping sounds)

Nam Joon was deeply asleep.

Jisoo was patiently waiting for him to wake up, she was sitting on the visitor's chair.

Until, Nam Joon finally did wake up and sat up on his bed.

He was staring blankly ahead.

Huh? Where am I? Why is everything so dark?....He thought.

"HELLO? WHERE AM I? WHY IS EVERYTHING SO DARK?" He called out.

Panic was obvious in his tone of voice.

Jisoo eventually stood up and this time, she sat beside him on his bed.

"Don't worry...The doctor said you have blindness due to the accident but you'll regain your eyesight right after the recovery." She spoke in her gentle and soothing voice to comfort him.
