VI. Intuition

The next day....

Jisoo placed the cup of coffee in front of Nam Joon.

Nam Joon then closed the book he was reading and stood up from his swivel chair.

He walked closer to Jisoo, and Jisoo slowly walked backwards.

"I heard that you're planning to quit, are you trying to escape from the consequences you gave to your mother?" He asked

"N-Nothing about that.. I just wanted to finally stop working here since I've already repayed for what I have done." Jisoo said.

This time, they reached near the door.

Nam Joon trapped her in between his arms.

"It seems to me that you have another reason for quitting. Are you perhaps hiding something? hmm?" His face was close to her again.

"Why would I hide something? Yah, what is wrong with you?" This time, Jisoo pushed Nam Joon away.

She then left the office.

She's quitting from the company all of a sudden? I have to find out why...He thought.

That night....

After Jisoo just finished encoding all the files that Mr.Kang was supposed to work on, she stood up and fixed her things.

She then grabbed her brown fur coat.

As soon as she stepped out from her cubicle, Nam Joon was leaning on the doorway.

"Excuse me CEO nim, I need to go home now." Jisoo tried to go out but Nam Joon blocked her way.

"Why are you always in a hurry whenever you see me?" Nam Joon asked in his casual tone.

Hyuna happened to pass by and she clenched her fists.

That little wench, why is Nam Joon so close to her?..Hmph!....Hyuna thought.

"Look CEO nim... my mother is waiting for me at home." Jisoo replied to Nam Joon

"Jisoo ssi, come on.. this isn't even your usual going home time.. I just wanted you to go with me to dinner, then I will send you home."

Aigoo, why don't he ask Mr.Kang instead?....Jisoo thought.

She was left with no choice so she just agreed.

They both went to a restaurant just near the company.

You could see how expensive it was due to the little number of customers in it.

"Hey servant, can you order foods for me please." Nam Joon commanded at Jisoo.

"Umm.. Miss, can we order this pasta and this fruit shake, please make sure there is less salt, less sugar, and no spices." Jisoo ordered

"Okay. That's all?" The waitress asked

"Mine would be the same please. Thank you."

"Okay."

That's it. Nam Joon stared at her for minutes.

How did she know that I only eat foods with no spices or less sugar and salt?....My intuition is slowly eating me up. Kim Jisoo, why are you reminding me of her? Are you the one who I was looking for?....Nam Joon thought.

As both were eating, silence filled the air.

While Jisoo was savoring her pasta so much. Nam Joon was endlessly staring at her while eating.

Until, Jisoo noticed this.

"Umm, CEO nim.. why? Is there something wrong with my face?" Jisoo asked him.

"No.. you look absolutely beautiful." Nam Joon replied

Jisoo blushed for that mere statement.

-AFTER DINNER-

Nam Joon was driving.

"CEO nim, it's okay if you should not drop me home, I could do it by myself." Jisoo spoke

"Are you kidding me? I was the one who took you out to dinner. I should be responsible enough to bring you home." Nam Joon replied

Just then, his other hand travelled through the car stereo and he turned on a music.

Both were driving with that music and the tension was getting higher.

When they finally arrived. Nam Joon opened the door for Jisoo.

"Thanks for the ride CEO nim." Jisoo bowed down.

"JISOO!" Just then, a kid's voice emerged from the gate.

It was actually Nathan, and Rosé was with him.

"Oh... Nathan and Pasta, I'm sorry I went home late." Jisoo apologized as she faced them.

Nam Joon stared at Nathan.

If ever my damn intuition is right. I know for sure that kid is my son....am I right?....Nam Joon thought.

"Who's that?" Nathan pointed behind Jisoo.

"Ah... well, this is my CEO, Nam Joon." Jisoo introduced him.

"Wow. I'm so happy you took Jisoo home. I wish I had a dad like you." Nathan smiled at him.

Nam Joon smiled as he crouched down and held the kid's small hands.

Is he really my son?....He thought.

Just then, Nathan stood up.

"Mom!" He called Rosé.

Huh? Mom? Wait so Jisoo isn't his mother?....Nam Joon was now confused.

Jisoo sighed in relief on the inside.

Luckily, Nathan addresses Rosé as 'Mom' if not, then Nam Joon will surely start doubting me....Jisoo thought.

"This is my mom, Rosé." Nathan smiled as he introduced Rosé

"Hello." Rosé smiled

"Oh..well.. Hello." Nam Joon smiled back

"You know what? It's getting late now. Goodbye CEO nim." Jisoo tried pushing Nam Joon away.

Nam Joon eventually left and Jisoo let out an exasperated sigh.
