XI. Business Trip

Airplane.....

Nam Joon and Jisoo didn't sit together for in the airplane.

"Snacks for you CEO nim." A lady pushing a food cart approached Nam Joon.

"It's alright. I'm still full. Try serving it to her instea-..." Nam Joon wasn't able to finish his sentence the moment he was about to point Jisoo, because she was now actually sleeping and snoring loudly.

"Oohh.. it seems like she's still asleep. I'll try serving it to her later."

"Yes. Thank You."

Nam Joon looked at Jisoo again and he chuckled

What a cutie...He thought.

Few days later....

They finally arrived at the city where the business trip would happen,

New York.

They rode Nam Company's personal black car driven by Mr.Kang.

Both Nam Joon and Jisoo were at the backseat.

During the ride, Jisoo noticed that Nam Joon had fallen asleep and she knew that they were almost near the hotel where they'll be staying.

"Umm.. CEO nim, we're almost arriving." She said in her low tone trying to wake Nam Joon up.

Their hands happened to be close by to each other, and Jisoo gulped the moment Nam Joon intertwined his hand with hers.

She felt her heart pounding loudly and her cheeks blushing.

However, as soon as the car stopped, she drew her hands out from his and cleared her throat.

Jisoo was lying down on her bed comfortably when she heard a knock from the outside.

She stood up and went to open the door only to be greeted by a smiling waitress.

The waitress was with a cart full of foods with the red wine and champagne glass.

"Umm.. I didn't order any of this." Jisoo said.

"Yes but Nam Joon CEO ordered this for you." The waitress told her.

"Gee, Thanks." Jisoo smiled in awe.

I'll really accept this service very greatly...She thought.

That night......

Nam Joon was walking around the hallways, he then stopped by in front of Jisoo's door.

He then knocked multiple times, however there was no response.

"Oh CEO nim, Ms.Jisoo is not here. " Mr.Kang, who happened to pass by told him.

"Huh? Then where is she?" He asked him.

"She says that she is going to the bar to meet this friend of hers... Si-....Su-..Suho? that's his name I guess?"

Nam Joon felt his insides boil just hearing his name.

He then dialed someone in his phone.

"Hello, time to execute the plan. Go after them at the bar." He told the other line with his authoritative voice.

At the bar.....

"Jisoo!" Suho hugged Jisoo after sseeing her.

"Woah, hang on dude. It's not like we haven't seen each other for weeks." Jisoo chuckled.

"Yah, I didn't expect you'd be here in New York as well. What are you doing here?"

"Well, CEO nim is currently having a business trip so I went with him. You?"

"Oh, well my lady witch boss is here as well."

"Oh Suho! you're there all along." A female voice suddenly interrupted their talk.

Suho and Jisoo turned only to find a girl with a short hair.

"Oh, hi Jeongyeon." Suho grinned at her as the 'lady witch boss' he was referring awhile ago was her.

"Who's this?" Jeongyeon asked as she looked at Jisoo from head to toe.

"Oh, she's my childhood friend, Kim Jisoo. Jisoo meet my boss, Jeongyeon." Suho introduced both of them to each other.

"Hello, nice to meet you." Jisoo smiled as she greeted her.

Jeongyeon just smiled at her, she then placed her phone in an inverted position on the table in front of them.

Jisoo on the other hand felt her phone ring, she then looked at it and saw a text message.

Sooyoung

Stay away from him

Suho noticed that Jisoo was looking down as if she was lost in deep thoughts.

"Is that CEO nim of yours bothering you again?" Suho asked Jisoo.

"No, it's not that." Jisoo denied

"Look, just tell me, why are you hiding things from me? are we not friends?"

Jisoo looked at him and he nodded in assurance.

"Excuse me guys. I need to go to the restroom." Jeongyeon excused herself from both of them as she noticed that tension in the air.

"It started in Italy when Nam Joon lost his sight, I was the one who took care of him. We became close and we started developing feelings for each other. However, one time I was threatened by Sooyoung and her family that I need to stay away from Nam Joon since she's his fiancé. Up until now, I'm getting bothered by that woman, is it ny fault that my life is entangled with Nam Joon's? This is just so frustrating."

"It's okay to feel that way Jisoo."

Just then Jisoo started sobbing.

I wanna quit, but I can't. I have to admit it, I miss him and I still do love him...I'm a very bad person for making him wait and look for me all this time.....Jisoo thought.

"Hello guys, let's go now since the bar is already closing." Jeongyeon finally went back

Jisoo and Suho agreed, Jeongyeon made sure they went first ahead of her.

Jeongyeon then smirked,

little did Jisoo and Suho know that she had been recording their conversation all this time, thanks to her inverted phone.
