Connors Point of View

I slam the door of my car closed and hear a softer click of the passenger door being closed as (Y/N) got out of the car. I watch as she gazes around my front yard and at the front of the house, hearing her telling herself to make reminders to 'clean this' and to 'fix that',

"You done, Tincan?" I say and she nods, joining me on the doorstep. I sigh and unlock the door, pushing it open with my foot to reveal my shit hole of a house. I flick on my lights and wince as the stench of vodka and whiskey hits my senses. I hear (Y/N) sigh and step fully into the house, shutting the door behind us. 

"Welcome to my shithole," I exclaim and head straight towards the bathroom to get ready for bed, as I am quite frankly shattered, "make yourself comfortable, night Tincan"

"Night lieutenant," I hear her whisper and instantly want to ask her what's wrong, as her cheery vibe was gone but thought against it, she's only an android so why should I care?

Your Point of View

As soon as I enter the house my mood dampens, which is surprising as I am programmed to be happy and cheerful. After lieutenant has left to presumably shower then go to bed, I start cleaning up his house. After all, I am not just a detective android but also a house-keeper.

I start with the table, which is littered with alcohol bottles, cans and flasks as well as takeout boxes. I get a bin bag from under the sink and start to empty it all into there, soon you can see the table. I move onto the counters which were in the same state as the table, but fewer bottles and more empty, dirty dishes and more pizza boxes. I put all of the boxes and takeout trays into the trash bag and set it down, gathering all of the dishes and cups and putting them in the sink to clean later.

Upon entering the house I instantly noticed that this was a bungalow, which meant it didn't have a second floor so I didn't worry about cleaning upstairs.

I got rid off all the trash and start on the dishes, which were in a desperate need of doing. After they're all clean and dry I put them back in their selective cabinets and holders, polishing down the counters while doing so. I turn around and look at the carpet and coach, which were in the need of a good hoovering. So that's what I did.

I look around the home in accomplishment; everything was clean and smelling lovely, a bonus being there was no trash anywhere. Although I didn't go into Connor's bedroom since that would be disrespectful, so I didn't clean the entire house. Upon vacuuming, I did notice dog hair everywhere and I mean everywhere. It was St. Bernard hair to be exact, and I wondered if he owned a dog or if it was just a coincidence.

I hear the shower being turned off and soon the bathroom opens, revealing a very refreshes Luitenant fully clothed, but with wet hair. I smile at him, something that I naturally do when he's around, and see him look around the home in surprise.

"Wow... Tincan, I know I said make your self at home but... woah," He mumbled and I giggle a little bit at his expression, another thing that I shouldn't be doing. I'll be sure to do a deviancy check before I power off. 

"Well, it is part of my program to look after you and that comes with cleaning your house Luitenant," I say.

"By the way, what is your program?" he asks and I know my LED turned yellow, as a sense of puzzlement went through my system.

"My... program?" He nods, "well, my purpose is to exterminate all deviants in this world as well as aid officers in the line of duty but also it is to care for you," I frown, "I was sent here as a carer, to make sure you don't do anything rash to yourself or others during your moment of grief,"

I listen to her closely, and as soon as she says the last sentence everything clicks into place. Jeffery sent me this android because he thought I was going to kill myself! He sent her in a subtle way of making sure I don't follow in Hank's footsteps of grief, and in result, I got someone who is made to care about me and look after my health. Very clever Jeffery, very clever.

"By the way Lieutenant, do you happen to have a dog?" she asks and I finally realise something. Where is Sumo?

"Uh, yeah. He should be around here somewhere," I go towards my bedroom door, which was closed, but before I open it I hear (Y/N) say ' I like dogs' and I chuckle a bit, the way she said it was like she was reassuring herself and also finding out a new fact about herself. 

I open it and low and behold, there is Sumo sleeping on my bed. How lovely. I hear (Y/N) gasp as she peaks into the room and spots my dog, who now has his eyes open and staring directly at her.

"I've never seen a dog before," She says and looks at me, "Can I touch it?"

I just raise an eyebrow at the new sense of childlike wonder in the android but nod my head anyway and she walks over to Sumo carefully, like he's a predator that could snap any second. Sumo stands up and stretches on the bed, which makes (Y/N) withdraw the hand that was reached out to pet him. Sumo tiredly looks at the girl before moving closer to her crouched down figure and lied down, his head facing her as it lays upon his paws. She reaches her hand out again and softly touches Sumo's head and soon is full on stroking him, a grin on her face.

"Woooah, so soft," She says and I break a small smile, "Who's a good boy? You're a good boy, yes you are!" 

"Okay Mrs Anroid, leave my poor dog alone now and let me sleep," I say, a teasing tone in my usually tired voice. 

"Ah, yes Luitenent," she stands up and leaves Sumo's side, not after giving him one last pat, "Goodnight you two, if you need anything I shall be on the coach doing a system reboot as I need to check for deviancy and then powering off,"

I just nodded, wondering that after all of the deviancy has left her system if she'd still be the same or just like a normal android. She walks past me and once she is in the hallway, I hear her say once more 'I like dogs' which made me chuckle.
