(Jade POV)
"What did you want to talk about, sweetheart?" Akio asked; coming to a sudden stop.
"How are you stronger than Enma?" I asked; turning to look at him.
"There's a lot about me that you don't know." he shrugged.
"Enma and Sesshomaru are evenly matched, and yet you're stronger than them. How?" I demanded.
"That's none of your concern, sweetheart." he smirked.
"Dammit! I'm getting really tired of you!" I used my left hand, the one with the glove, to try and punch him, but he easily dodged.
"You're human. Don't waste your energy trying to do something that you can't." he sighed. I responded by reaching for myswords.
My right hand reached for the one on my hip, and my left for tthe one on my back. I grabbed the hilts, but Akio pinned my arms in that position. I tried to back up, but he hand an ironclad grip.
"I said don't waste your energy." he said; looking me dead in the eyes.
"I don't take orders from you." I growled. "What the hell is your secret?!"
"Why are you so determined to figure it out, sweetheart?" he tilted his head to the side as he spoke.
"Because I just want to know." I replied; our eyes never breaking contact.
"Why don't you ask around about the name Fushichou (Phoenix). You'll find the answers you want." he said; releasing my arms.
"No. You're going to tell me." I took the chance to pull my swords out, "Even if I have to beat it out of you."
"If you insist, then bring it out, sweetheart." he chuckled. "I'll even show you how to really use a sword."
My eyes widened as he reached for the sword he had tied to his lower back. It was the first time he's ever used it, and I always thought it was merely for show.
I shook off my shock, and charged.
"What!" our swords met, but his went straight through mine. He stopped it before it hit my shoulder, and I noticed it wasn't a solid blade.
Is that lightning?! I thought as I saw it spark. With the same hand that was holding his sword, he smacked my swords out of my hands. I gasped, and jumped backwards.
"What the hell kind of sword is that!" I exclaimed.
"A family sword." he shrugged; placing it back in it's sheath. "Now, let's get back to the village, sweetheart. You're side is still healing."
"We need to go after Enma, and I think you know where we could start." I said; fixing him with a steady glare.
"Even if I did, I wouldn't let you go. Nayumi obviously has not qualms about hurting you, but you won't make a move to do the same. She would tear you to shreds. Not to mention she's pretty much a full demon now." he stared back at me.
"I have no doubts that she could kill me, but she hasn't. Don't think you'll be as lucky. The minute Enma is out of the picture, then you're next." I growled.
"You need to realize that you and Nayumi are still connected. Her soul was broken when the curse broke. That's the reason your soul was able to be pulled from you body. You're only have a soul, but you have the ability to control Nayumi's powers. To be honest, right now Nayumi is the only person I think is capable of killing me. Start drawing her spiritual powers back into your body, and you might be able to, sweetheart." Akio caught me off guard with this information.
